• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I am not planning to CTB in the near future but the fact that authorities are now increasingly aware of SN makes me worried about how accessible it will be in the future. I'm now concerned that if I don't purchase now, there will be no opportunities. At the same time, I think having SN will make me more likely to CTB when I wouldn't have done it so soon otherwise. I'm unsure about what the best option is.

I've been suicidal (passively) for 6 years and haven't pulled the trigger yet. However I've always believed that I would die by suicide someday, whether it be at 25 or 60. SN is desirable because of how simple it is to pull off compared to other methods but I would probably still end up CTB by some other method eventually.

I'm really not sure what I should do. Is anyone in a similar situation? What would you do? Will the availability of SN continue to get worse?

If you're not an impulsive person, I'd say buy it. I heavily regret not buying from DMC back in February when it was up, now it's gone and I've had to buy from a source that isn't well-vouched for yet. Plus there are a LOT more eyes on SN now.

This comes with the caveat that I'm pretty sure SN has an expiry date (I could be wrong). So if you are 100% sure you wouldn't want to attempt within the next couple of years, it'd be a waste of money.

DMC is forever gone as a source? That is why I couldn't find it on Y. Very disappointing.

A lot of people find that when they have a method at the ready, it actually increases their fortitude to keep living, probably because they've gained that peace of mind in simply knowing they have an "out" if things become overwhelmingly unbearable. Ofc, everyone is different and ymmv.
