    Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Padded cells and psych wards.
===
I feel like the motto of any psych. ward is: "If we can't do anything about it, put it in the padded box"
Followed by: "If we could, we wouldn't be in-demand"

Come on, psych wards aren't that bad! I even enjoyed my stay a couple of times. And it helped me 3 times

Psych wards sound like horrible places to me from what I've read. Certainly very prison like and it sounds as though they just cause people to suffer more.

I've been to a psych ward once (for mania and psychosis, not suicidality). Never again.

Yes, it was pleasant for me too. Except, I was high on drugs 99% of the time and had 0 autonomy. Even if I wanted to leave, I couldn't because of drugs and security. I was locked up in a room full of strangers for 72 hours with security guards for trying to ctb (overdose).

Psych wards aren't all the same but I'm sure you're aware. Some are truly fucking awful.

I guess. On the plus side it's only temporary and is in theory there to help but I do understand ❤️

In my world psych wards are horrible places. I've been many, many times over the past 30 years (mostly for depression but for mania as well). I immediately get scared and lie myself into a discharge as soon as possible. So the system never works for me (I know- because I don't let it)
