Just being a parent is a selfish action, but they'll never admit it. They'd rather beat you over the head with "We've given up so much for you", as if you told them to give birth to you to begin with. Then they expect you to be a perfect drone in society in the hopes that it benefits them when they're old and fragile. The best revenge is letting them die alone crying about how their precious child isn't there for them.
