I wish I could refuse an autopsy. I just saw a picture of both Ted Bundy and Tupac after autopsy. It's fucking disgusting. There's absolutely no reason to get one if you are shot and killed or croaked in an electric chair. If I just write down how I escaped existence that should be enough. I don't want to busy an employed autospy person with myself and I don't want to be cut up. For fucking what? Cremation is bad enough.

Fuck getting an autopsy. It's disgusting and unnessassary. Would they bill my family for it? Fucking ridiculous.
Desacrating a corpse should not be standard procedure. It's no one's fucking business how I offed myself...perhaps people I know, but I don't understand the slicing of torso and cutting of skull. It's literally an intimidation tactic...a FUCK YOU...you're nothing and I'm going to cut you up and charge your fucking family so I stay employed.

I don't necessarily like them in any way... I just think It has to do with foul play, insurance scams as much as the apparent suicide etc.

They can't make mistakes with the cause of death in any way.

I have no life insurance. If I leave a note that should be enough. Testing me with a needle is different than slicing my skull open. It's a system that basically rapes the deceased before burning. I doubt they do autopsies on people who jump. So Ted Bundy and Tupac required autopsies? They were shot and electrocuted. Why would anyone employ someone to cut them up for fucking nothing?

Just saying, no matter how you CTB, the detectives and police will have to determine it is in fact a note written by you and more, and most importantly the autopsy has to say Rule of death: SUICIDE.

Trust me, I feel you on the fact they should not have to cut you up as they do, but there's really not many ways around it. It's unfortunate.

How do people get open caskets? It's a very 'user' society. Cops don't give a fuck. I've been looking at gore lately- so obvious people employed at crime scenes and morgue take pictures of shit and post online. I wish i could just jump. I really don't think they autopsy someone smashed up. I will try not to think about it. It's a living hell- even while I type this- constant extreme triggers I just say- yeah and ugh huh to over and over again. So someone old died of cancer still gets a torso rake and a skull crack? This is such a scam occupation. Absolutely disgusting. So will my family be charged?

I really don't want an autopsy.

If someone dies in a hospital or hospice and the cause of death is known, to my knowledge they don't do an autopsy. Where I live, for a suicide case, you can refuse to get one and opt for an external examination and tests for religious reasons. In that event, the coroner has to get permission from a family member to perform an autopsy. If they decline, coroner has to go to court with good cause for one. Given suicides are pretty obvious and sensitive, I don't think many would go that far, especially if there's no indication to prove that it wasn't cbt. Research rules around autopsy and suicide where you live and if you can get around it, leave a note for the coroner and for the family specifying your wishes.

Okay, you said some smart stuff. Thanks. I will leave a note and also tell family member to adamantly refuse autopsy. I will write- NO ONE IS GOING TO PAY FOR THIS. Thanks for the response.

I wouldn't worry about payment. In most countries, autopsies are paid for through taxes. Families wanting private ones will have to pay, such as when they don't agree with autopsy results, they will hire privately.

When writing the letter to coroner/police, it's best to specify that you are of sound mind, your religion e.g catholic as the reason of declining an autopsy and that you opt for and consent to an external examination and testing.

Even if your parents know your not religious, just tell them in the letter you are. Police or coroner will most likely read the letters so you want info to be consistent.

Okay, I will do exactly this. Thanks. I will use your suggested wording.

I had a panic attack after reading that autopsies are ALWAYS required in the event of drug overdoses (I planned on using N). I'm with Alwaysbadtime--I do NOT want my dead body invasively fucked with. I've already been through enough as it is, and it's bad enough already that they're gonna throw me into a raging fire. I'd like to switch my method to nitrogen so that my death can perhaps look more natural, but that's no guarantee they won't still try and hack me apart. It's so unnecessary. I've even considered recording myself ctb so that all the investigators need to do is watch the video in order to see what I did and that I acted alone, but I'm not sure that would even stop them. I wish I could get the earth to just open up and swallow me.

So long as no one is doing anything obscene or disrespectful to my body I don't care. I mean coroners gotta make a living somehow.

This is what is holding me back, I don't want to burden my parents financially any further. I don't have life insurance, however I have save enough for a funeral however authorities will most likely conduct an autopsy but I will say in a note I refuse this

In such a case, you have no way to prevent it - it must be ruled out that it was someone else's fault.

Autopsies are a must for unnatural deaths in my jurisdiction and is free if it's due to a coroner enquiry but the thought of it happening is very cold comfort. Sigh.

In any case, the case will be examined by forensic medicine regardless of the method.
Oops, so then results will be inconclusive... which might force an autopsy

I've thought about this before and I totally agree, I just try to tell myself that it won't matter because I won't be there anymore.

Autopsy in my country is obligatory for all ctb victims. Even if the reason of death is clear, they are seeking for any other underlying disorders which might have contributed to ctb. I come to terms with it anyway.

even if you are able to avoid an autopsy your body will not go directly to a funeral home. You will be probably be taken to a city or county morgue for several days and you will be exposed naked on a cold steel table and stored naked on a steel slab, not very dignified. But I guess that once you are finally resting in peace it won't matter

Yikes, I have seen my fair share of gore but this autopsy disturbs me a bit. It was almost like watching a chef breakdown a chicken.

I would hate to be invaded like that.
