So I bought this rope and my anchor might be a tree. Do you think it should work if I put the rope through the carabiner hooker to creat a loop that I can put around the anchor?

Or might there be to much friction for the rope to get destroyed?

The carabiner looks sturdy but I would be scared of that thinner part of the rope that connects to it breaking so I'd just do a knot for the anchor instead.

I've seen snuggle hitch mentioned here for the anchor knot before.
