Method free solo?

so this might sound really strange but let me explain:
basically free soloing is when you climb up cliffs without a harness by yourself so if you fall (as long as you don't hit a ledge near you) you're dead
Of course if you've never climbed before you would fall before you could get high enough but i have been climbing for a while and i think it would stop my fear of jumping.
If i'm by myself free soloing then people would think it was just a slip and not me purposefully climbing bad so i fall.

Would this work though cause i'm debating this method.
