Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

They will never be able to stop anyone who wants to ctb. Just like they can't stop crimes. All they could do is make it harder to get drugs to enable a peaceful ctb. And that makes them evil in my eyes!!

So what exactly, goes on in this place that is illegal or unlawful? A few people get together, shoot the shit about dying, suggest a few ways and means, read the odd topic and go back to our corners of the world to be miserable again.
OK, some people overstep the mark, some people are not blessed with a lot of common sense, but overall, nothing is going on here that will alert anyone other than the pro life god squad. Its like the cannabis issue. In the UK, posession is illegal, growing is illegal, selling the equipment to grow is not illegal, but everyone knows and understand that.
But reading the rules, sticking to them, not encouraging anyone to ctb, not wishing them good luck [which is sic imo] and not getting all paranoid about isolated incidents will help the place survive far more than just heading into the darker recesses of the internet.

People either watch this forum because they're paid to watch it or they're having such a shitty life (they cannot enjoy) and so they're fixated on their anger in correlation of watching others leaving their life by suicide; and that's against their beliefs so they would never do the same.

My head is gonna explode if we don't get to know what's happening. I was so happy about ordering N in a few days but now I've got to look for another way. I'm so angry right now.

I think the best is to wait and drink tea.
btw, I hope his courier or couriers (I hope he has more than one) saves the addresses on a encrypted smartphone or computer.
Whoever write with him regularly please tell/ask him this.

Imo, maybe the law and the therapists should watch this site. Maybe they will better learn on how we cope with issues.
I have seen more members deciding to give life another try after coming here, than actual suicides(which really can't be verified).
I think this site has given more hope to people struggling, than therapy and drugs can do. Here, we are able to open up more to people who go through the same thing, and that helps gets things out in the open, and helps to get things off your chest.
Either that, or the members thought they found us to be crazier than them.

Well, this is at least another well-documented example of law enforcement not doing their job and instead abusing their power by going after the weak and powerless. Taking the method away from a suicidal person is one of the lowest moves you could ever make. Fuck the police.

Definitely. I had no idea that, a. People have physical pain and terminal illnesses worse than I could even imagine, and b. There is actually a place in this world where I don't have to listen to positive thinking bullshit I listened to for years in 12 step nonsense groups, and c. People are as fucking depressed as I am and probably spend as much time frozen in their homes as I do.
Everything is fine, and all this shit will blow over hopefully. I don't care what other stuff our mods are involved in - it's irrelevant to this site's mission. Tor and the darknet are not the perfect solution, especially if you live in a congested area like I do. Just using Tor is grounds for a physical search warrant if a suspected crime goes down. Wait until a kid gets snatched up a block from where you live and you're one of 2 people in a 1/4 mile radius on Tor. Or they're monitoring possible drug activity in the vicinity. I think people see my law enforcement concerns as paranoia, but they are from experience unfortunately. Just like regular people, there are good cops and bad ones, and there are ones with such a purpose backed up by a quasi-Christian conviction they can be frightening in their self-righteous attitude. Keep this place clearnet. Law enforcement purposely allows child porn trafficking on Tor so they can get them all in one place and the FBI can infiltrate.
Pro-lifers will always find us. They're just pissed we aren't vocal enough and too depressed to assemble IRL so they organize a newsworthy protest. Who is really going to give a shit about us in the long run? Don't encourage. I just hate that wishing someone peace could possibly be viewed as assisting or encouraging. Since none of us have loved ones to sit with us as we go peacefully, it would be nice to have words from the people here. I guess we're all going out the way we lived - isolated and alone.

They don't watch because they want to save us.
Why do people watch Nascar?
I really tried to find more fun crash videos but it's all pukey "memorial" bullshit. Because part of the fun is pretending, afterward, that they didn't want it to happen.

Must... Not... Talk about... NASCAR not being a good motorsport...
You know, the cars of NASCAR are similar to the cars of 80s and 90s F1. They have no appreciable electronics, no aerodynamic grip from downforce, very little mechanical grip from the tyres and way too much power. The cars are dangerous, and thus the driver has to be insane to get into the car in the first place. And that element of danger is what makes it so much fun to watch.
Saying that you didn't want the crash to happen is sort of disingenuous. The only reason the sport is as fun as it is is because of the element of danger. The fascination with the skill it takes to handle an uncontrollable machine is what draws that crowd, so to say that the crashes aren't part of the spectacle is ignoring why the event has a hook in the first place.

It would help if we only talked about the theoretical parts of methods in public posts and only pmed people who are somewhat established sources. You can find a lot in the PPH but instead we post that sensitive info openly so prolifers and LE don't even have to dig for it.

There has been another bust in Australia. Something bad is definitely going on.
They just seized his N with no punishment for that but he did get thrown in psych ward for growing cannabis in his house. They took his phone and SIM card away, he managed to borrow one from a friend while he was in hospital. He's in 72 hours involuntary hold now. It is a trusted member here, a regular on the chat, so I'm sure he is not lying.

How do you know its being watched? And is A no longer a safe contact? Also how does one get on the dark net if that's where this forum ends up? This is the last thing I needed to read when I logged on today!
Is it just in Australia rn? Can N still be safely gotten in the USA?
The jury is still out on A being safe anymore or not. Australia has strict customs, N has been seized there before. The two incidents may or may not be related.
No need to hide. No need to run. We didnt broke any law. Because we didnt encouraged people to die. This forum is purely for discussions about life and death and ways to live and die. How you take it thats personal. How law sees it is completely different. If they truly want to ban people from discussing about death. Then just ban all death related things. No more stuff that can be use to kill oneself. This forum is still here because this forum still exist within the grey area.

^ this. There was a minor moral panic whipped up about N being used by someone to ctb a few years ago, although I suspect said moral panic was probably used as an excuse for the media to give Dr Nitschke a kicking more than anything else.
Back on topic ... even if we are being watched, the SS FAQ states that its servers are hosted in a jurisdiction that is "offshore" (read: very hard for the likes of the US or the UK to touch). Even if you live in a jurisdiction that is liable to go all Nanny State on pro-choice websites *cough* Australia *cough*, VPNs are now cheap and effective.
We might as well go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all this to blow over.
In theory, They can't shut the site down on legal grounds if the platform is hosted in a country that allows the right to die/suicide/assisted dying.
Worse they could do is block the site in your country in which case you just use a VPN. Which would mean some rules about VPN sign up would need to change.

They really don't. There is a local story of an attempted suicide recently in my area. And I had to unsubscribe from my local news social media. Because the nasty comments were disgusting and infuriating. From mocking this person, claiming it was just attention seeking. Judging every facial expression&physical movement. To just urging them to do it so the public wasnt inconvenienced anymore.. This world doesnt give a shit about us!
