I've heard of this working it's also called detergent suicide and is popular in Japan other than the two ingredients I don't know how this works. I was wondering if anyone could bring any info to light regarding this method.

No, they are two different methods unless I'm missing something. Formic acid and sulfuric acid produce carbonmonoxide, whereas the detergent thing you mention is used to make H2S gas.

Formic acid and sulfuric acid reacts to produce CO, but I've heard that there are also trace amounts of formic acid in the fumes, which means the process will be a bit painful as the formic acid has corrosive properties. I unfortutanely don't know the solution to that, but I see that you are close to get to a point where you get access to search bar in the website. Thats carbon monoxide (CO), not detergent. Formic acid + sulfuric acid produces carbon monoxide

Detergent refers to Hydrogen sulphide (H2S). Im not quite sure what ingredients are used to produce H2S.
