So If I was coming to the USA from a European country, and I was just there as a tourist, where could I feasibly go to access a gun long enough to CTB?

I've seen tonnes of gun range suicides on WPD, and I wondered why these people didn't just use their guns on themselves at home.. but I assume there are places you can go where if you don't have a gun, they will supply you with one for the range shooting?

I know it's selfish as fuck to kill yourself in this way, but I would love to acquire a shotgun of my own to ctb. That would be my preferred method.

Literally seen CTB videos where the right shotgun literally obliterates your entire head. Brains everywhere. RIP immediately.

I didn't try to buy but it seemed like in Arizona I could have got my own AK from two separate pawn shops in Sedona. Go for one of the "freedom" states god bless em

Yes, I am not a US citizen but I wasn't there to do gun shopping. I only wanted to know if they were really for sale to anybody and it seemed that way all the way up to the point where I would've had to ask for someone to take the cable off. Ammunition also available.
The laws are different from state to state. The US federal government does other stuff I guess

almost any Walmart in Texas will work... I've heard that if you arrive at the right time of year, you might even get a gun with your Happy Meal at McDonalds. LOL?

It's ironic because I'm American and when I'm suicidal I wish I could move to Europe to go through the legal euthanasia process.

America basically has a legal euthanasia process. It's called the 2nd Amendment.

Haha true. But I wouldn't have the self confidence to use a gun, and also I'd want to do it in a peaceful way that my loved ones can join me on as much as possible.

Legal, well established sellers will not sell to a foreigner. They have to follow strict rules and background checks. I've never tried myself, however if you find yourself in the 'Murica redneck backwoods Im sure you can find yourself an under the table seller. It would be illegal for both you and the seller, however. If you end up in a reputable sellers shop and they find out you're a foreigner you could even risk being reported if the person cares enough. If you do buy one, you and the seller would be at risk of legal action. People seem to believe that you can walk into your local gas station at any part of America and find a gun, and that isn't true. There are parts of the country you can walk anywhere and buy whatever you want Im sure, but it isn't standard everywhere like people think. There are legal regulations and most places follow them.

Just buy from a private seller in one of the "wild west" states. There are rules they are supposed to follow but many of them don't care or aren't even aware of the rules themselves because they're hardly enforced.

So actually my experience never answered if I could've got one from a pawn shop in AZ because the law says no but practice says maybe the owner is willing to do it anyway

At some gun shows a few sellers will sell a gun or shotgun at Gun show no id no background check cash.

Most sellers even at gun shows will require id and background check

Not saying all gun shows.

Any shop (pawn shop or gun shop) is probably going to obey the law because they are risking not only legal consequences but also potentially losing their business. Private sellers, on the other hand, only have legal consequences to face, and many of them are not even aware of the gun laws because they really aren't very concerned (because these laws are so infrequently enforced). Again, it totally depends on which state you're in. In many states, it's strictly illegal for anyone who does not have a FFL (federal firearms license) to sell a gun, so the only place one could buy a gun in those states is from a licensed shop.

I think you could go to a range to "practice" with no issue.

A lot of gun ranges are now taking measures to try prevent people from doing exactly that. They will only rent a person a gun if that person brings a gun with them or comes with another person. The logic is that, if a person already has a gun, then they wouldn't need to go to a gun range to rent one in order to shoot themselves. And if a person is accompanied by another person, they are much less likely there for that purpose (most gun range suicides were done by people who were there unaccompanied).

Oh, right, I forgot about that nonsense. That is indeed how it is at the gun ranges I've been to. Well, maybe OP could find someone to go with them? Like even post on craigslist or smth for a friend who wants to learn shooting together. (It would traumatize the stranger and people at the range, yes, I'm aware of that, but OP is suffering and maybe if society didn't ignore others' suffering then things like this wouldn't happen)

There's always the partners megathread, I suppose. But I would not recommend this method due to what you mentioned. Better to buy a gun from a private seller and then CTB away from other people.
