Discussion For people who have physical changes from CTB attempts

"Physical changes" such as becoming paralyzed, missing limbs, blindness, deafness, etc. Idk I've just been looking for people I can relate to in this way. How has it affected your self-esteem? I feel guilty or like I'm doing something wrong when people see me for the first time with or without the prosthetic. Have you become more paranoid and/or shut in? What are some changes that people might not realize are a big deal? My neck tremors were very annoying at first and always gave me migraines and back pain. I have full body tremors now so I'm going through that cycle again but hopefully, it gets easier to deal with like before. Anyway, I'd love to hear your stories.

I never really try it but i had a friend who had and she was marked by that it looks painful both physically and mentally and i discover the worse way possible how painful it was for her, i am not a good friend never have been, ignorance cloud me for so long about this, all of this.

Did you jump for your CTB?

No, I attempted to shoot myself and ended up blowing my eye, ear, cheekbone, and jaw out of place instead. I was wanting to hear from other people who have been plagued with physical scars from CTB but this thread has been up for a while with no replies.

There was one user who jumped in front of a train -- he was focusing so hard on overcoming SI that he didn't really take conditions into account. Ended up having both of his legs amputated. I believe he was later able to leave via N (his account is crossed out).
