Somebody know how to get Firearms in germany? idc if it´s illegaly. And if not, would the Military be a viable option?

There are legal ways that are less expensive and equally sure to make you ctb.. Getting charged for illegally possessing a firearm is some really nasty stuff

I don't know if that is really worth the hassle...

There are two types of licenses: "Waffenbesitzkarte" and "Waffenpass". The first one authorizes the holder to acquire and possess, but not to carry, Category B firearms (Revolvers, pistols, semi-automatic pistols). With the second one, you are also allowed to carry category B firearms with you.
There are also category C firearms (Rifles (Firearms with rifled barrels)). This one is mainly for hunting.

Let's just talk about the "Waffenbesitzkarte" here.

You don't have to be Austrian resident. You have to meet these requirements:

• At least 25 years of age for Cat. B or 21 years of age for Cat. C
• You have to be a European Economic Area citizen
• Proving a valid reason for the possession of a Category B firearm (e.g. for self-defence within residential and business premises or fenced-off properties)
• A psychological assessment confirming that the applicant is not prone to handling weapons carelessly or using them recklessly, particularly under psychological stress (this is not required if the person holds a valid hunting licence)
• Proof of proper handling of firearms (e.g. a training certificate from a licensed firearms dealer, often colloquially referred to as a 'firearms licence')

The license alone for up to two firearms will cost €110.


So quite a lot of stuff... I think the made it stricter after the 2025 Graz school shooting.

But then that's still only half the ingredients. How would one acquire ammunition without a license?

If you buy inside Schengen, I think there is little to no chance that it will be discovered. I am not sure tho. I wouldn't do it personally.

i buyed meto from spain (schengen) on ebay back in 2020 and it artived. im pretty sure if ur adress is not in a black list it go through in eu - schengen! a gun is ofc my dream suicide method but very difficult in europe.

May take some time and money but still a viable option for German citizens right ? Once acquired, they should probably end it in Austria, instead of bringing it back to Germany.

It is possible for Germans if I read correctly on these websites, yeah.

I don't think that a German car would be checked at the border. I can only talk about the border Kufstein-Kiefersfelden which I crossed more than a couple of times in an Austrian numberplated car and the german police there has never stoped me. I think they are only here for non-EU vehicles. But theres always a chance, that they stop you and ask for licence, registration, first aid kit all that stuff.

So if I had something like a gun with me, I wouldn't be nervous. I would keep it somewhere, where it is not instantly visible.

Sorry, but I don't know what you are asking with "how much ever light"...

Honestly, I don't know why the Germans have police set up at this border. They started in 2015 because of a refugee crisis - but was ten years ago so yeah. We don't have anyone at ours into Austria. You can just enter without anything.


But I think if you are from GER or AUT, there probably won't be any problems.

you can buy empty shells and bullets and primers and you can extract the gun powder from hilti cartridges
