Discussion Finding my body

Hi everyone, I'm new here. Not sure why exactly but I've recently had a breakthrough from passive suicidal ideation to actually feeling comfortable with carrying it out and beginning to form a plan. I think I'm going to hang myself in my house but my concern is that I live with my dad and I would prefer to not give him the distress of finding my body in that state. I thought of a convoluted idea where I do the deed in the middle of the night and post a note to a neighbor that they'll see the following morning, simply saying to call emergency services for my house. Obviously this would have to be while my dad is away overnight, which happens occasionally, so that he doesn't find me first. Alternatively is there some way for me to set up emergency services being called automatically at a certain time, so they come to my house after I'm gone? Or should I just accept that my dad will find me and not concern myself with it since I'm dead anyway. Would putting a bag over my head make it better? I'm just ruminating but I'm open to hearing other people's views on this issue.

If you´re really going to do that, I think you should definitely avoid being found by your dad (or another person that has a connection with you). It may be one of the worst things that can happen to a parent. I am sure a bag on your head wont do it.
"Best" (I mean if you ctb) would be that the ambulance finds you. I have also thought about that. A call will be difficult, but a timed message/mail should work.

hm, so i don't know if it's possible where you're from, but in many locations you can text emergency services instead of calling them - so perhaps make a timed text to go out some time after you likely passed, maybe even explicitely stating you hanged yourself - might help the first responders be prepared, cuz from personal experience, finding dead bodies, especially those to suicide - a lifeless body dangling from the ceiling - is not the most pleasant sight...
