"The opposite of depression is vitality"-A.S. Tedx

Hello Sanctioned community. So I've finalized my decision to ctb. I have SN ready. I am just going to save up a few hundred dollars(probably take 2 weeks), drive to my favorite casino/hotel, rent a room for 2 nights and ctb there.

•How can I prevent the housekeeping/staff from having to see my dead body? Do I tape a tablecloth vertically from the roof the floor with a note attached saying do not enter, call police?

•How can I block out the sentimental feelings? I love my parents and I know they will be very sad when they find out im dead, but I've got to go.
-Thanks
I will post another thread when I am on my way to the hotel/casino in a couple of weeks and update my final day.

I was gonna shut self in bathroom and leave a note on the door, the cloth thing might be ok if you don't inadvertently stumble and pull it down?

I'm not sure about the second point, that's a v personal problem that we all have to tackle in the best way we can! I wish you the best though, and hope you find peace

Hi Red, thanks for responding. The bathroom could be a good idea, but I want to feel comfortable. Ideally id be laying on the bed going SN route so I dont think ill move much. Yes, the second question is indeed very personal, just curious if anyone has coping mechanisms that may work. Thanks, and I hope you find peace too.

I was thinking of taking pillows and duvet n stuff in there to be comfortable and catch any associated body mess upon my exit lol the thought of a cold tiled floor doesn't seem very comforting at the end does it?

It's nice that you have thought of the people who will come and discover your body. I heard of a couple who hung a shower curtain I think, with a note on it, and little envelopes of money with apology notes for all the people they anticipated would have to deal with the aftermath; very thoughtful, even though they wouldn't be around to care at that point.

Says a lot about the kind of person you are; there should be more consideration like this in everyday life.

Hmm, I suppose pillows and a blanket on the floor would actually be a good idea. Then the hotel management wont have to deal with a nasty bed.. good thinking. Makes me wonder what they would do with a bed that someone died on, though. Anyway, inspiring story about the old couple! I agree, there should be more consideration in everyday life. Leaving a table messy at a restaurant is one such example. It doesn't take much to stack the plates, sweep up crumbs, arrange the silverware, and push the cups together so the server or busser can clean more efficiently. But of course, theres plenty of people who will make a mess and not give a shit.. just the way it is I guess.
