Cats don't dance is such an underrated film. I watched it for the first time 14 years ago and I rewatched recently a few months ago and I'm obsessed. The animation is beautiful and I hate how that ugly CGI style has become the norm, there isn't as much soul in it imo.

Here's an obscure one. I used to watch the original Inspector Gadget cartoon as a kid. Apparently it was made in 1984 and '85. The antagonist, Dr. Claw, whose face was never seen, had a cat whose name turns out to be M.A.D. Cat.
So, everybody knows Longcat, yes? Well, it was a "real" cat, whose proportions made them famous. BUT! I would argue that Longcat's rival, Tacgnol, is fictional, as it only exists in comically-sized form. Also, this was my wallpaper for longer than some of you have been alive.
