Fantasy about jumping off the bridge

I use a bridge to commute to work. It's a pretty major New York bridge. Super high and has walking paths on each side, it's also old and has ZERO gates to stop you from jumping.


Idk. I probably won't really do it. But I work night shift and nobody would see me walking to do it.
Idk. Maybe I'll do it tonight. Probably not. I just want to. I'm tired. I have no money in my checking account and I haven't for days. I'm hungry and I have almost no gas left and my job won't stop treating me like shit in the mean time. I'm tired. All I want is to go eat some fucking food and I can't

I am SO sorry for your pain. I just tried this and couldn't get over my survival instinct.. but there were a lot of factors to consider in my attempt.

Busy traffic, other pedestrians on the bridge I was on.. and it was a bridge in the middle of nowhere and the darkness was absolutely terrifying.

Have you tried again since?

You have to make sure it is of acceptable height.. a couple hundred feet at least from what I have read. My chosen bridge was 600 feet.
Also - if you have hope still left in you try contacting resources - friends, family, shelters for assistance and help. I hope you find the hope within you to continue on but I will say, if you choose to go it should be well researched so you don't hurt yourself or others…

I have not. My chosen method is with a shotgun but sometimes I think about jumping off the bridge I take home to work. It has a pedestrian walkway so I wouldn't have to worry abt traffic. I am scared of heights tho. I prob will just shoot myself in due time. Not gonna involve anyone in my attempt either. But no I don't have anyone who cares rlly. I have a loving girlfriend but everything's temporary she will probably leave me one day. You never know. Nobody in life really can Really keep me here because I'm scared of loosing them or being abandoned anyway. Kill myself before they abandon me I guess.

I'm so sorry to hear that -and I identify totally with how you feel.. I've been abandoned myself.. which resulted in me abandoning others.. and abandoning myself. I never felt worthy of love..

Have you expressed these feelings to your gf?

It is only now that my family knows I'm suicidal that they are willing to show up for me and it's too late as my life is already damaged enough as it is…

My only hope is that all of us who are hurting meet in another lifetime, or along some other journey to help each other. Sure this is not how creation was meant to unfold..

Please be safe whatever method you choose - the only thing worse is a failed method that leaves you permanently disabled and unable to make any decisions about your life on your own.
