It's the only inert gas I can get shipped to home.

How is it? Is it a good source to use? Note that I cannot get Nitrogen shipped home, it isnt available on Amazon. Plus I can't go to AirGas as my parents are not allowing me out of the house without them present.

pre-pharm student here. unfortunately, i don't know the failure rate. but since nitrogen isn't itself poisonous or toxic to humans, you would essentially have to inhale enough of it to displace all/most of the oxygen in you bloodstream. honestly, it seems to me like SI may kick in, as I have no clue how long the process would take. i hate to disappoint u but there are just sm outside factors where this could fail, or lead to terrible consequences :(

From some other threads I've seen here, argon is a heavier inert gas than nitrogen and thus can have slightly more problems displacing oxygen than nitrogen can. Some of those people recommend using a higher flow rate than nitrogen: 25 lpm compared to 15 lpm. One other person here who tried that said it helped but keep in mind they were using an eebd hood (I think?) rather than an exit bag. I don't want to recommend much more because this method leaves very little room for error, and I'm not a pro at this. Personally, I'm going to one day try a controlled test where I see how fast my nitrogen tank will induce hypoxia symptoms.

Which setup are you considering and what size tank and psi? If you're doing regular exit bag probably not.

I'm not pro-death and you've got people and I don't want to suggest you should kill yourself, so just want to check is there any treatment that's possibly able to keep your depression in check?

Implemented correctly it's 100% reliable, you simply cannot survive on inert gas.

If you use argon run at a slightly higher flow but although heavier than nitrogen it's a fairly minimal difference practically.

The composition of the gas matters. Sometimes argon is mixed with carbon dioxide, and the concentration of CO2 can be high (5%, 10%, 25%). In high concentrations, carbon dioxide can cause discomfort.

On amazon it said it was 100% argon, although it didn't give out a lot of info
