• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I've been offered free CPTSD therapy on the NHS but it's one hour sessions in the middle of the day and I have a job. I know that if I approach my employers for time off once a week for therapy they will laugh in my face. I'm sure things are more progressive in other industries, but I work in construction.

What's your experience of your employers and mental health? Are things really better than they used to be, or is that bs.

As you said it highly depends on your work field, you'll have to kinda use your intuition to guess if your boss will take you seriously or what, on office jobs you can at least have some protection with the HR and the bosses pretend to care about mental health.

Don't disclose what it is for if you can. Just say you're dealing with a health issue that requires once a week 1h appointments. Your employer is not entitled to know.

You should be able to get a document from the NHS confirming your appointments without disclosing that it's for mental health. I got this when I was being treated for psychosis symptoms as I didn't want my employer to judge me.
