just as the title says, although i already have a vague idea of everything i might want to destroy or donate or just deal with i hope people can give me their lists just in case i forget something. im planning on succeeding this time and if i dont ill be in a psych ward for at least half a year anyways so i dont really have any regrets nor do i plan on backing out.
also if there are any existing threads that go into detail about this can someone link it somewhere?

It's completely up to you. No one else can tell you what you should do before you depart this world. Suicide is your moment of total personal freedom. Donate whatever you want to whoever you want. Destroy whatever belongings and records you want to. Spend your last days and weeks in the way that feels best to you. If you're 100% sure you want to die, then it's your right to decide what to do with the end of your life.

If you do plan on giving away anything that you really care about, PLEASE do it discretely its a huge red flag. If your seen giving away everything that you have it could be presumed that your gonna ctb. So in MY opinion leaving a will, will just not have anything go your way cuz it will be argued that your were "not of sound mind" so that will probs just cause huge problem, so I would just recommenced like I said to just keep things on the low key, and don't tell anyone, and for the things you would give to people close to you, just say its for a holiday or some shit like that.

I do agree with your advice- that it may look suspicious to suddenly be giving stuff away. I hadn't really thought about the whole mental competency thing regarding a will. Have you ever known this to happen? Even if the will is made with a solicitor? I guess it could well happen though. If there are greedy relatives who feel like they've been slighted. I suppose they could contest it. I made a new will months ago with a solicitor. I feel it less likely it will be contested if the will is registered formally- and the solicitor acts as the executor but I suppose it could still happen. Probably depends on how much money is in question. Mine won't really be worth squabling over.

As for the original question, a few things I know I'd need to sort out before are: A delayed email to my solicitor with my notes attached- I don't think the police always pass them on. Notices for the police to put on my door. Other stuff to sort out for my solicitor- need to do my tax returm and gather everything together for the last one. Write down all the information about service providers/ bank accounts. Pay off my phone contract. Turn off the heating. Pre-pay for a cremation. Clear out the fridge. Make some effort to clean and tidy. Lay down thick plastic. Log out from here and clear search histories on all devices.
