I currently have sleep apnea with an AHI score of 22 (times you awake very shortly per hour, 22 is moderate severity). At first I thought it was because of my weak jaw, which I got surgery for in 2021, but recently I had another sleep study because I trash around in my sleep a lot since a couple years and they found out that my AHI score basically didn't go down at all.
In november I will try a MRA device (nightbraces that push your jaw forward as your sleep). I hope that that stops me from thrashing around at night, but in the back of my mind I also hope that it will increase my quality of life in the sense of less negative thoughts, more energy,...
I was wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation and what it has done for them. A CPAP machine is out of the question for me as that is completely unbearable for me to wear at night. If it helped for you i'd love to know aswell.
