In death, life echoes. In life, death calls.

This morning I read a story that shook me to the core.
nypost.com
I watched the unedited video on X. They were just sitting there holding hands. The train conductor said the girl was laughing and pulled the guy close to her right before they were hit. I don't know their motivations because no suicide note was found but it seemed like a pact that was made? Holding hands? Holding each other close laughing up until the very end?
It got me thinking.... how much pain would my suicide cause others? I don't know this young couple and the story disturbed me. Left me very emotional and sad. It made me rethink if I want to take my life.
If this wasn't a suicide pact, then they were so blitzed that they couldn't react to moving out of the way of a speeding train? (Death was instant.)
I just wanted to post this here because you are the only community that understands this. The story wasn't supposed to move me. But it did. I grieve for strangers and I don't know why.
Doomed pair struck by NYC subway may have been so disoriented they didn’t hear oncoming train: sources
A doomed man and woman who were fatally struck by a train while sitting on the tracks may have been so wasted they didn’t realize until too late that a train was barreling down on them.
