I was worried about brain damage but there's none that I know of. There was no cognitive testing done at the hospital that I remember though, so shrug. The doctor who treated me in the er didn't seem concerned about permanent damage when I asked him. I took some metoclopramide but the stuff I took was just the (lower dose) liquid kind for dogs so I don't know if it did much. I was nauseous before I threw up but I don't think enough that I would've thrown up involuntarily while conscious, maybe if I passed out. It was hours before I got the methyl blue, again rural area so quite far from the nearest hospital. I had oxygen via mask and later tube in the meantime, though. Ended up being seen at home by the home-based treatment team instead of going to the ward.
I think so, my blood gasses were pretty bad even after getting to the hospital and I had a very weak pulse and depressed breathing. The EMTs were also unable to find a vein for starting an IV, so I guess those symptoms indicate circulatory shock. I was also very badly cyanosed.
Did the cyanosis hurt? Are the parts of your body that cyanosed numb or dead permanently?
