I was worried about brain damage but there's none that I know of. There was no cognitive testing done at the hospital that I remember though, so shrug. The doctor who treated me in the er didn't seem concerned about permanent damage when I asked him. I took some metoclopramide but the stuff I took was just the (lower dose) liquid kind for dogs so I don't know if it did much. I was nauseous before I threw up but I don't think enough that I would've thrown up involuntarily while conscious, maybe if I passed out. It was hours before I got the methyl blue, again rural area so quite far from the nearest hospital. I had oxygen via mask and later tube in the meantime, though. Ended up being seen at home by the home-based treatment team instead of going to the ward.

I think so, my blood gasses were pretty bad even after getting to the hospital and I had a very weak pulse and depressed breathing. The EMTs were also unable to find a vein for starting an IV, so I guess those symptoms indicate circulatory shock. I was also very badly cyanosed.

Did the cyanosis hurt? Are the parts of your body that cyanosed numb or dead permanently?

How much will u take the second time around?
20g?
I'm not sure yet, I think I'll do it at a lower concentration and actually measure it out properly though. Need to refresh my memory on the recommended amounts. I think I'll go for a larger volume (fill up a bottle or something) at a lower concentration and add a flavour sachet or something to make it more drinkable.

No, the cyanosis was not painful for me. I don't know if this is typical. From what I overheard it sounded like cyanosis from methemoglobinemia is possibly caused by a different mechanism than other sources of the symptom but I can't remember the details. My entire body was blue-grey. I haven't experienced any permanent numbness or necrosis or anything like that. Colour started slowly returning quite soon after they started me on the methyl blue, there was some lingering discolouration - I noticed it particularly in my feet - for a few days after I left the hospital.
Oh also the methyl blue IV caused me to throw up profusely almost immediately even though I wasn't nauseous at all before they gave it to me, and the vomit was blue. Doctors and nurses seemed to think it was pretty cool, strange it was able to travel from my bloodstream to digestive system so fast. Also it tasted horrible. It changes the colour of pretty much all your bodily fluids, I was peeing blue-green for upwards of a week.

@Clover so a 2 hour time window being secluded and without any interruption would guarantee CTB? Also were you on a fast?

My grandmother had a lung condition in which she had to have oxygen constantly supplied. If she didn't have it, she didn't gasp for air, she just became very tired and weak. At one point she had a pretty memorable hallucination, but the contents of which sound too fake to even mention.
I'd like to hear the hallucinations if you wouldn't mind sharing...

Sure. At one point her oxygen line got messed up or her condition got worse, I don't remember which, but I guess she spent a good while chasing invisible children throughout her trailer home. She said they were running and hiding under the bed and behind the couch.

I miss her.

As I said I didn't finish the glass of water, it was oversaturated with that much in (was a bad idea to just pour it in like that in hindsight) so I don't know exactly how much I consumed. The 50g is more an estimation of how much was in my glass. I think I managed half the glass but I honestly don't remember.

Do you mind telling your weight?

Thank You for sharing. We will be with our loved ones again when our time comes. I find it interesting hearing about hallucinations. I believe they are really happening in a different dimension
