I was wondering if we could have a debate about this and maybe put this fear to rest for a lot of people including me. The last thing I want to do is try it and end up tortured in in agony. Most people it doesn't seem like it's the case but I threads like hypoxia hell and things like that it makes me kind of nervous so I wanted to see what you all think

From what I've heard no. And you'll be unconscious so you won't feel yourself suffocating. It literally destroys the hemoglobin in your blood meaning that your brain is getting blood but not oxygen. This causes loss of consciousness and everything after that who cares? They are already not feeling or aware of anything.

That is a good question. I think maybe. Watching the SN videos on the WPD website might help clear this up? I haven't watched yet, been afraid to.

Nah once you're unconscious you don't feel anything. It was rhetorical. The best methods always lead to super fast unconscious and then you die while you are unconscious. Guns this happens instantly, OD on opiates it happens instantly, hanging it happens in a few seconds. SN it happens after a few minutes but it's not like you're suffering before then, you just slowly have less and less oxygen going to your brain.

From the reading ive done of people who tried SN and lived, some people experienced a sense of suffocating or breathlessness, others didnt. It's enough to put me off using SN unless I have no other options at a time of great distress

Not rhetorical. The pph says consciousness is typically lost after 12 minutes. Some people have said it's closer to 20. The question is what is experienced in that 12-20 minutes.

The PPH isn't some inaliable book of truth. Based on videos I've seen as well as many reports you're either unconscious or in a state of reduced consciousness to where you aren't alarmed. If people started clawing at their necks like they do when killed by cynide or something I would be alarmed. People who have taken close but not lethal amounts have reported that it wasn't painful. If I didn't already have a method I have access to I would do SN. I think the people who try and say that SN isn't peaceful (not you but there have been people in the past who counter signal it) are trying to fearmonger and make people not do what they want. There's a reason every government cracked down on the availability of it because it was an attainable pain free and easy way to end their lives. But that's just my opinion. IMO the only better way to do it is using opioid analogues but the "success rate" doesn't say it's good because humans suck at doing this method in a place where they won't be found. The only thing superior to that imo would be pentobarbital injected into the veins by a medical professional. Which is essentially what execution is.
