I was thinking I do wanna die but wouldn't it be better to feel somewhat normal for as long as I'm alive? I've tried SSRIs because I saw people raving about it on Reddit but SSRIs destroyed my life. So did benzos, went through hellish symptoms with no benefits.

Now im looking at more potent treatment but idk if they work? Like ECT, ketamine... Anyone have success stories?
I've an appointment soon with a very expensive psychiatrist so I'm hoping to get prescribed for something that works.

It does have high success rates. There's always a chance that it might not work. Ive heard some great stories about it. Giving it a try is a good idea. Ask your psychiatrist to point you in the right direction.

My psychiatrist suggested it after a while of trying different antidepressants that never worked, but no. I never got to it for some personal reasons. If I stay depressed for a couple more years, I might try it.

I currently do spravato treatments, which is an esketamine nasal spray. I think they are fine. They're helpful for giving my brain a bit of a reset if I'm in particularly bad place and can't get out of it. They haven't been life changing for me, at least not yet, but they are for some people. It's worth giving a try, especially if you don't find the infusions appealing.

Same here, Spravato made me feel better depression wise but I still have to deal with my personality issues and the repercussions of that but that's a work in progress now because I don't actively want to jump constantly lol

I've had experience with ETC, i think i jad like maybe even 6 times in three weeks. It sucked. Happened in mid 2018.
I basicly forgot years 2016, 2017 and 2019 did not stuck very well in the harddrive. became somewhat zombified and sorry to say but retard.
Forgot how to behave correctly to the point my coworker got angry and said something like a grownass man should have learned such things before first grade.
Also a lot of things i've learned for my career, had to learn something completely again and somethings i just remembered again normally.
Its not good to forgot about firesafety if its part of your daily career you studied for 7 years.
I also forgot why i was depressed so thats how it got "cured". Until I remembered and got depressed again.
Its was a step forward to know what caused/causes deression but the cost was somewhat high.
I hope this dosen't scare people who could get good results from ETC. It just one person's experience

I did almost all of the new age "cures" for depression/anxiety etc. It's all bullcrap, in my opinion. It's just capitalism, trying to make money, and since mental illness is on the rise they see an opportunity.

I did alot of shrooms, they made me feel good and less depressed i guess, but only lasted for some days, same for LSD. I hated Ketamine, but i did only a small amount. I heard from people who did it with a doctor that it's very exoensive and the positive effects also went away in a couple days.

I just ordered some MDMA which is also the new cure for everything. I just want to do it to feel good for once, i'm not expecting to be healed by anything anymore. I just want to get fucked up before i ctb atp

I've done ket before (illegally) and it improved my mood a bit for a few days but it didn't have any lasting effects so I would have to do it regularly for it to help

I was offered ketamine therapy but turned it down because it just seems like a modern day lobotomy/electroshock therapy. Just another crude method to sedate and numb you. If all their medications didn't work and just caused horrific side effects, I have no reason to believe in some "miracle" treatment they're peddling and I determined the cause for my depression must be external and not because of some defect of my brain that must be treated by throwing random shit at it.
