I think Rin from Inuyasha because she's adorable and the lengths Sesshomaru goes to protect her are beautiful.
I like the girl from the "Plz Rember" meme that's floating around Youtube. Sometimes I find that happiness is unrealistic, and that meme pokes fun at the ridiculousness of it all while still somehow managing to be inspiring.

I have comfort films definitely. Maybe not quite so much individual characters. But: 'Labyrinth' 1986 and 'Spirited Away' 2001 are two comfort films. I also find 'Star Trek The Next Generation' and 'Frasier' quite comforting. Most of those were on when I was having a shitty time as a child.

Interesting, I also have a pink-haired figure on the table that I call death (I haven't come up with a better name yet). We can have a special relationship with art, all different characters can act as muses for us.

(Danganronpa, have a few from the series) Akane for being badass and unfazed no matter what she deals with, Chiaki for being a sleepy gamer, relatable (also an adorable design), Angie for being an unflappably cheerful girl despite others seeing her as creepy (and again, cute design), Tsumugi for being.a plain geek that rambles about her hyper fixations with little to no provocation & being a passionate and dedicated fangirl, Gundham cuz edgelord animal lover chuuni with a heart of gold, Toko honestly because she sucks in many of the same ways that I suck but manages to be an enjoyable character and get good development regardless and also for being a writer and dealing with alters and shitty family trauma, problematic fave I guess lol

(Sonic the Hedgehog, honestly most of the cast but especially) Tails for being adorable and sweet and cheerful despite his past of being bullied, Amy because yandere vibes but she's still upbeat and a good friend as well, Shadow cuz I love an edgelord, Knux cuz I love a meathead, Big cuz he's cute and goofy and I wanna sleep on top of his belly, he'd be so soft and warm and cuddly~

Maya Fey (Ace Attorney) for being an adorable derp and staying happy despite dealing with shitty toxic family members and Mia Fey (Ace Attorney) cuz I think she's cool and I frequently fantasize about being the cool smart pretty helpful dead friend who everyone misses and who's still plot relevant

Ling Xiaoyu & Christie Monteiro (Tekken), I gravitated to both from the minute I saw them in Tekken 3 and Tekken 4 respectively because they're cute and upbeat but kick ass and both have unrequited love plots with stoic men which is painfully relatable

(Mortal Kombat, again, I have a few here) Kitana cuz badass princess assassin and blue was my fav color as a kid lol, Sub-Zero (Kuai Liang) for being the cool ice guy but also a good guy trying to reform his clan (and again, liked blue as a kid)(Also MK1 Scorpion cuz I'm just a Kuai Liang fangirl lol), Jade cuz she's a loyal friend while being a fun cool character in her own right , Sindel mostly just for being cool and badass and also I WISH MY HAIR COULD DO THAT, Tanya specifically in MK4 cuz that face-heel turn, love when the pretty nice girl gets a villain arc, Mileena cuz all she wanted was love and now she's in the royal family and she and her sister love each other and deadass seeing her with a loving family in MK1 made me cry, she deserves it, my empress , Reptile cuz cute lizard man

(PaRappa the Rappa, again most of the cast but especially) PaRappa cuz he is made of cute, sweet puppy boy~, PJ cuz hungry sleepy boi, Lammy because anxious rocker girl who is sweet as pie but also canonically goes to hell which is kind of badass especially given she makes it out alive, Ma-San because I love her destructive rage, Master Beard Burger cuz I find him oddly adorable for an old man and again, cool dead friend, Matt, Gaster and Groober from the anime purely because I find them funny and cute (also only half related but stan Ryu Watabe, such a cool VA ^o^)

Crash & Coco Bandicoot (Crash Bandicoot), Crash for being an adorable derp and Coco cuz cute design and kid me related to the smart young sidekick vibes I guess (also kid me maybe had a crush on Crash, shut up )

Orchid (Killer Instinct) cuz come on, secret agent who fights with spin kicks and what are basically small lightsabers and can transform into a damn glowing panther, COME ON, her brother is a NINJA, I WANNA BE ORCHID SO BAD

Nikki (Camp Camp) cuz feral nature loving girl with a dynamic adaptable and unpredictable yet empathetic nature and also super cute

(Total Drama) Courtney cuz repressed good girl with a fiery temper is one of my fav character archetypes, I cannot overstate how much I adore Courtney, I don't even know why I love her so much, she just speaks to me, Izzy because manic feral girl who could probably take Godzilla in a fight (if not seduce Godzilla into submission, lmao) also "I'm a top!", she gets away with so much and I love her for it

(Doki Doki Literature Club) Sayori cuz upbeat depressed friend trying not to burden her friends and Yuri cuz obsessive shy creepy book girl, both quite relatable
