Anyways to answer your question, I do not like onlyfans girls although I imagine I'd slightly prefer them over real people/traditional human relationships which I feel no connection from. The desire of the lonely guy I think is often genuine connection with someone they find attractive. For whatever reason they can't get that in the real world. And because the demand is far greater than supply, there is often a cost involved online too. Let's assume you can verify you are actually talking to the woman you chose (video chat or whatever). There's an immediate power imbalance. Like going to a doctor. You're paying for their time and attention. Why? Because you find her attractive and she wouldn't talk to you without the extra incentive. Both of you know this, it's probably unspoken, but it's the elephant in the room throughout the conversation, wherever it goes.

Is this a real connection? Are you actually getting what you are after from it? I'd be intrigued to know the answers. My hunch is if I were to try this personally it would seem hollow, but I don't have experience to back that up.

Nah don't give it much thought. You can take my advice or leave it, but the only thing that is embarrassing in here is that you can't manage your money. Just learn that and you're fine. Life is limited, time is short, and death is inevitable.
