Yeah, it's definitely one of the factors. I simply don't want to live in a world with AI. And it's realistically never going away, like the internet or smartphones, even if it will probably become less overused over time since right now all companies are just trying to see what sticks.

It's also kinda weird because when I was younger, I was always told by my parents that since I'm so good at languages, I could work as a freelance book translator for example. Not that I ever really went for it, but either way, that kind of job has certainly died out unfortunately.

Absolutely. AI, constant surveillance, climate change, poverty, fascism, owning nothing… Why even bother living when the world is so determined to destroy itself and anything good it has left?

It feels like the world is always bad or getting worse

Not the main reason. But I already have a hard time with having derealization and Ai makes it worse and its sad to me how many jobs its going to take over
