Every indivial case is different, and they probably just give generic responses because going into detail about everycase would take too long. Have you considered rigning them to ask them about the specific reason why they refused to see you at that time?
Each team deal with indiviual issues and have different responsibilities and it isn't their responsbility; it is the responsbility of the crisis team and your GP. Therapy takes a long time and is hard work and it isn't really appropriate to do amongst the middle of a mental health crisis which is why they rejected you.
Don't feel fobbed off, they probably just felt like the service they offer wasn't approiate for you in your current crisis.
Yes I have, just been told that over and over again.
I have been in contact with the crisis team a few years ago, and according to them, which I believe, it is the responsibility of the local mental health team to look after patients.
And the crisis teams are only there for short term use, as in a couple of weeks max.
And considering that the local mental health team is actually there to look after the needs of mental health patients, I will absolutely have to disagree with the fact that you are saying that mental health patients are not the responsibility of the mental health team, which I am very sorry to say, makes no sense.
I am not trying to be rude or start an argument, I am going off my own experience, what I've been told, and the fact that the mental health team is for the use of mental health patients.
Though I will completely agree with you that therapy is not the best thing to do in a crisis as it can make things so much worse.
And that you are right in the fact that they will not be able to give every case details.
