I don't see how anyone really could. No, I don't want nuclear war. But, I can't say I care if it happens. I wouldn't be part of causing it or encouraging it... but if it happens, and especially if it takes me out quickly at the start, I'd be okay with it. I'm ready to be gone.

If nuclear war did happen, you'd want to go out with the blast. Living in a post nuclear world would not be fun for anyone. Games like Fallout make it seem fun, but in real life, it would be horrible.

We might get one whether we want one or not.
There are certain leaders who I think are capable of nuking millions of people to death and not feeling any guilt about it.
I just think this planet is too evil to exist and a lot of the human race is just garbage. I hope we get a new virus that wipes out a few billion. It might make people more humble because a lot of people nowadays seem to be callous vindictive narcissistic scum.

No, because that would cause too much distraction and loss of lives. Most people still want to live.

If I'm the only casualty, on the other hand..

Hell no! unless you´re the one getting hit directly you´d probably suffer a terrible death from radiation and in my case in if I was hit I know my loved ones are not close enough to to erased immediately so they would suffer and so would everyone else too far away so nope.

I would love it because it would hopefully wipe out humanity but it would also harm everything else on the planet, so no, unfortunately.

Whilst it'd be nice to imagine being immediately destroyed, I think the odds of that are low and also most of the people who would be victims of a nuclear war would not want that so I'd not be in favour of one.

We need a worldwide nuclear war to wipe out mankind before the disease kills the planet completely, mankind is the worst form of cancer,we kill every single species one by one into extinction while also doing our best to kill planet earth,we are just bioweapons put here by some ancient civilisation from space to get rid of this planet and all it's species,we must go,there's no place on earth for human kind, hopefully 1 day a scientist with the skills sees this and creates a human dna destroying virus that's incurable to wipe all of mankind out to save what species remain and earth, until then I pray for all out nuclear world war 3,even cancer doesn't do as much damage as humans do so we are literally a super cancer on earth and our demise is best for earth

Humans are the only species that could save or extended life from a complete extinction event.

There's also the chance that some humans survive after the means of destruction (aka Nukes) are gone, and believe it, humans can be quite a pest, hard to eradicate, cause we can live in almost every ecosystem in the entire world. Nuclear war will mostly give everyone cancer and make everyone suffer major time.

Also, we have to remember big nukes have been mostly used as a DISPLAY of power (Hiroshima/Nagazaki), and not as a means of destruction. Why would a world leader eradicate humanity, if what they want is to rule humanity? Yes, when used, they bring destruction, but again, as a display of power, meaning "We can fuck you up so obey" and, you know, if Japan, of all nations, agreed, it must have been overwhelming, right?

There's also the fact that a nuclear weapon doesn't need to be a freaking earth shattering bomb. They can be very small and very targeted, and the tech has been improved to allow, instead of say 1 big bomb, a 100 smaller bombs that can hit any building in nation X, which is much better strategically speaking.

And yes, insane world leaders exist, and ones with nukes, but believe me when I say none of them can launch nukes by themselves. I doubt any of the coocoo idiots we have on power know how to use the advanced machinery to, you know, operate nuclear devices.

Nuclear war won't wipe out humanity, and probably won't wipe out one of us. It'll just make everyone suffer for years because their countries will have radioactive craters for years to come, where no living being could come near without having the worst cancer imaginable. So if suffering is your style, by all means wish for a nuclear war. You will suffer at least 10 times more, guaranteed.

i'd be lying if i said nuclear war wouldn't be incredibly convenient to me right now but i recognize how insanely selfish that is
Yes.

Don't care if its an innocent being or not. All beings are long overdue for extermination. We all deserve hell. We all deserve eternal pain.
can i genuinely ask why you believe this?

mankind is the worst form of cancer
Yup. Whenever I watch satellite photos of cities all I think is: "Holy shit. The planet has skin cancer."

Cancer cells refuse to die. How ironic.

I think this site prones choice over death (otherwise, I might not be at the right place) so, no, of course I don't want nuclear war and massive death/destruction, why would anyone want to deprive so many living things of choice? Besides, nuclear war would not only target humanity, it would affect the biodiversity and deal the Earth a blow that our beautiful, hurt planet might take thousands or even millions of years to recover from... Life would likely find a way back regardless, this would not be the first mass extinction here (and sadly, it probably would not be the last either) but it would look so completely different from what we know now and, for all I know, it could be so much worse (or so much better), it's not worth taking the risk imo.

I haven't wizened to charges of "pro-mortalism" from those in whom I had expressed my sincerest hopes for the complete obliteration of our culture, and the grief they felt whenever I wouldn't agree to perform their frenzied morality act, but it's fairly apparent to me that seeking nuclear warfare as a solution to your own malaise is just weak, man... It isn't the same as the "efilist nuke", and the self-masturbatory utilitarianism can't justify, or even reconcile, the amount of death and anguish and suffering which would be produced if nuclear warfare were to fall short of "total annihilation, 100% total and complete death of all populations."
