Sitcoms were an important cultural symbol of many things in the past. In a third world country, as the one I live in, for example, most of what we even know about american everyday life comes from these shows. Animated sitcoms still seems to have fandoms on the internet, but I am afraid that one live action multi camera sitcom that once ruled is going to neither die or pretty close to that.

New ones are still being made, and they're one of the comfiest bits of media I consume, I don't think they're going to die any time soon

I miss the abundance of multicamera sitcoms with cheesy laugh tracks or live audience.
Single camera shows, lame memes and general cynicism erradicated most of them.

There's one called Call Me Kat that was released in 2021 - 2023. It's really cheesy but it's a stress reliever. I don't know why people don't watch sitcoms anymore. You would think with how dysfunctional many people's lives and families are they would be more interested in the portrayal of normal families and lives.

I love to laugh, no matter my problems. And as someone who's older, I've totally been into the nostalgia sitcom TV watching this past year. I hate that they don't make it calmly as much anymore.
Call me kat was cute. I'll still always remember her as Blossom! (Showing my age)

It would be somewhat revolutionary and probably bode well for the future...I don't think sitcoms are going away any time soon.

I don't know how they continue. Back in the old days they were all you had so it was a captive audience. Now they look even more fake and with the choice of things to watch I'm surprised they continue on.
