Do you think this forum will become more or less popular in your country in the near future?

I asked this question to chatGPT and it responded that it will likely become more popular.

I am not all that sure about that. I could imagine the German media will report about once it is taken down. Like with Kiwifarms. Though, I don't think Sanctioned Suicide would be down for long.

There is more censorship in search engines. And news outlets are more careful reporting about it. But honestly it would not make sense to me if news outlets changed their mind. Not reporting about this place actually works where I live. It is really hard to find this place. The wikipedia article was probably the biggest mistake if it comes to mentioning this place.

I think though all these irresponsible Youtubers could make this place a lot more popular. I cannot imagine that German mainstream outlets make stories like the BBC, vice or NYT. The streisand effect was way too obvious. ChatGPT suggests if German minors, a German celebrity or in general the suicides of a couple of Germans would happen connectd to this place the pressure would grow to report about it. If they got former German SaSu members for an "inside story" this could also change their mind. It reminds me of my fantasy yesterday where I was too depressed to fall asleep. Would I betray Sanctioned Suicide if Elon Musk offered me a million dollars to become shitposter on one of his platforms. Maybe I had to replace Grok or feed Grok with training data. Lol. I know I should stop clinging to miracles. Platform regulation in the EU could bring places like this up. I mean it looks like the internet will become more and more regulated. At the same time the EU could probably only block the access to this place and not actually bring it down. Could also backfire with the streisand effect.

One trend to add: German suicide rates tend to go down.

I guess, strictly statistically speaking it should become more popular given that my generation (Z) does kinda experience a mental health crisis. Well at least in western nations that's the case. So I unfortunately think that this will lead more people here

i think this forum will one day not be accessible from clearnet but thats just my opinion... every expose of this site was always to shut it. if it gets popular were fucked... in my opinion. sorry but pay attention. speech is more restricted everyday, govt trackin ice critics, im sure dems will also think free speech is abused and limit it... no matter who every1 hates suicide. its a matter of time. free speech will be limited. mark my words.

Without taking the site being more heavily censored into account, I would totally agree with this statement.

I'm not sure if there is data being compiled on this yet, but I'm also seeing a lot of almost memetic-style content regarding an impending suicide epidemic among millennials as we stumble into middle-age, based upon how many of us never "made it" in life and became subsumed within the gen Z/doomer milieu. I find this disturbingly relatable.

I also don't know, there's def more data around Gen Z I think, though I'm not sure. There's tons of surveys, studies, statistics etc abt the mental health development of our generation and its abysmal (to no one's surprise ig) For millennials I think there in general is less data, tho I'm not sure rlly. I for example read an article today about a new study that came out, which shows that more and more young ppl put their funds into sports betting or in general high risk investments (if u wanna call em that). I think that speaks to a general hopelessness for many. Like if you don't believe in a better future, you also prob won't invest your money wisely or save. Instead you get the all or nothing mentality. Also the buy now pay later stuff is getting ever more egregious

That's so sad to see actually, I've always liked Australia a lot. I guess, in the end there'll probably be not even one bastion left standing. Worst thing is that it's more like a slow and controlled decline, well here at least

i think it will become more popular, because things are getting worse and worse nowadays, whether it's the social environment, climate change, or mental health, etc
