Do You Think Pork Is The Best Meat?

I used to believe beef was superior, which I find baffling now. From a pig you get bacon, pork crackle, ham, pork chops, and shredded pork; from a cow you get steak, beef jerky, and minced beef (and milk actually). It's no contest really.

Do you believe Pork is the king of the meats?

I was about to comment that I think beef is the best meat but after reading your point about various things you can't get from a pig I had to think about my answer

so my list of good meats would have to be
(no particular order, I am an indecisive person and can't choose favourites)

pork
lamb
venison

While I do love me some BBQ ribs and a good old pulled-pork sammich, the health aspects of pork are a huge negative for me. I eat it only occasionally. I stick to poultry and fish 95% of the time.

Basically everything else aside from pork. Maybe I'll try to have pork in secret one day but for now I'm not allowed to have it at home because my parents are religious as hell. I always wondered how it tasted like

Beef is superior. It's higher quality. Safe to eat raw or semi raw. Nothing better than medium rare.
Also you get: steak, carpacio, steak tartare, hamburger, beef stew, beef soup/broth, roast beef

My body prefers beef. My body feels more satisfied by beef, probably because of the high iron content. Beef is like a drug in a way other meats aren't, with the possible exception of lamb. My taste buds prefer pork to everything else.

I agree. Beef is more consistently good. Bad beef isn't that bad; bad pork is terrible.

Chicken always has lovely parts (breast, legs, wings) and gross parts (everything else).

i'll take pulled pork over a steak any day, but i'll take a beef chuck roast over pulled pork any day.
However, i'll take glazed chicken over water.

Spam meat is very nutritious and I love them, I have very low appetite most of days and I don't like eating so it helps me when I eat the whole thing once a day.
I also prefer pork in general, they are easy to eat.

I was also born into a Muslim family, I feel you.

I don't think I'm even capable of objectively judging this religion because all I've seen is how much harm it has caused. To this day my parents keep making braindead decisions because of it and it's just getting worse and worse as they age.

I didn't think that you'd be born into a muslim family as well. To be seeing potentially another ex muslim on this site is rather strange as I didn't think that there would be another one. Though I feel bad for you as you're female and, well, women get treated worse under this religion than men. Also, this is going to be controversial but I think that this religion causes more harm than good from an objective point of view. It's just impossible to not derive to that conclusion after seeing the effects of this religion. Though I'll end it here because I don't think that the mods will like it if I continue

Same. I also always have red meat cravings. I think it's because I have low ferritin. Beef *is* a drug. I think that beef tastes the best though

Yeah I'm an ex-Muslim, why is that rare on this site though? There must be enough of us...

Let's not compare suffering here, it does suck being a woman in this religion but I was also fortunate enough to be born in a Western country to two parents who were also born in Western countries, so while they were still deeply religious, things weren't as strict as they could've been (for example, I was given a choice on whether I wanted to wear hijab or not).

I agree that Islam has done more harm than good, not sure about "objectively" though.

Lowkey pork is superior but i try to avoid it since i think pigs are humans
