Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Anonymous sent a message against the Trump administration.

Do you think anonymous would target this website or even individuals on it? I am not sure.

I don't equate Trump SaSu really not. It Was just a question that came to my mind.

It's a political organisation with an anti-government ideology. They're not bad people. I don't see what they'd have against this website. I think they'd agree with us on the fact that everyone should have the right to decide their own death

I think they have more important matters to tend to, like taking down ISIS.

No one really knows who they are or how many versions of them there are since anyone can claim to be anonymous but as far as the "brand" of "Anonymous" goes, no, they would almost certainly support this site. There are a bunch of reasons, the most important of which no one can ever go into.

Well said. I totally agree. If anything their ethos is to protect the vulnerable.

Thanks. Yes, that is, ostensibly, a big part of what they are about. I am not sure I agree with them all the time or that the leadership is primarily motivated by that ethos but who really knows.

Anonymous is a hacker collective loosely composed of random individuals; not a tight-knit organization like some may be led to believe.

Am confident this site is too niche to draw a crowd like Anonymous. Will I be proven wrong? Hopefully not, heh.

For those saying "ooo they would support what I believe!"—there's no way to disprove or prove that, but everyone is free to imbue whichever feelings they wish into anonymous loosely ajjoined hacker collectives.

I... don't believe they have a leadership, I think. (Hunter furiously types into GooGar)

We [Anonymous] just happen to be a group of people on the Internet who need—just kind of an outlet to do as we wish, that we wouldn't be able to do in regular society. ...That's more or less the point of it. Do as you wish. ... There's a common phrase: 'we are doing it for the lulz.'

Would be pretty sad if people decided to DDOS a site which provides social comfort to the truly vulnerable. An unsavory move, I might add.

But thanks for the idea. An interesting one[, for sure].

Anonymous hacking SaSu:

YQitE4YNQNahy.webp

Okay, but in all seriousness, I feel like they likely would have better things to do than hack this site. I feel like all you would accomplish by doing so is just stressing out a bunch of people, a lot of whom are quite mentally vulnerable. The only people I've seen who have talked about hacking this site are mainly people who don't know how to hack and are just screeching in moral outrage over this place.

i would not be surprised if it happens, but if it's on their radar, then sasu is likely very low priority. there is nothing to be gained from hacking this website other than the reassurance that you're "saving lives"—but i think anyone from anonymous is at least smart enough to understand that by hacking sasu they'd just make people seek out more risky ctb methods.

The only way I could imagine this to happen would be if one of them were to lose someone close to them and family were to blame it on SaSu for encouragement/methods/etc. Otherwise, I would imagine not.
