I guess maybe music is the most forgiving when it comes to repetetive enjoyment. For me anyway. There's that weird sweet spot when I've listened to a current favourite song enough times to thoroughly appreciate it, before overlistening it- which is almost inevitable with my very favourites.
I'll happily put series and films I know well on in the background repeatedly although, I probably won't enjoy them quite so much to intently watch them again.
Games are different though and, I really wish they weren't. Once I've played a game through, it loses so much if I return to it.
Is it the same for you? Or, maybe it holds the nostalgic charm? There are two games that I wish I could play right now- but like it was the first time I experienced them: 'Spiritfarer' and 'Eastshade'. Not that I should be playing games at all at the moment! I have work to do. I'm just procrastinating.
But, are there games/ films/ music/ books/ whatever- that if you could, you could experience as for the first time? Places too actually. Some feel enhanced by repeat visits while others start to feel boring.
Not that I go out much now but, when I did, my best experiences were sometimes when I did no research, so had little idea what to expect.
