  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

The skills I learned by suffering this long have prepared me for eternity, I'm grateful for the pain because it teaches things pleasure never can.

I am sorry but this sounds like the bullshit my nutjob religious parents would say after beating me senseless. There is no deeper meaning in suffering. It is completely random and meaningless.

Should victims of violence and rape be grateful for being taught a "valuable lesson" in suffering? This line of thinking is extremely dangerous because it tries to justify the injustice and cruelty of existence.

The only control a person truely has is over themselves. We are constantly being subjected to factors outside of us. What can we really do about them besides decide how we react when they happen? Should the world be a much better place and should we attempt to limit suffering whenever possible? Of course, but it's not so we must adapt ourselves. The world is a nightmare and further nightmares we may experience in death. All we can do is prepare ourselves by not running away from pain and instead leaning into it and letting it teach us what it has to teach. No one ever got up off the couch stuffing their face with cookies and guzzling soda to run a 100 mile ultra marathon. They had to suffer much to build themselves up to a point where they were capable of handling it. If you can learn to walk through Hell with a smile on your face then you're stacking the odds in your favor.

Definitely. I did tried 2 times but failed. That was the single greatest mistake of my life. I wish I had known back then what I know now.

I regret not taking action to CTB at a younger age.

As time has gone on the trajectory of my life has brought continued suffering. It wasn't all bad, but this latest downturn has really caused more pain than it has in the past.

When I was younger I was better able to rebound from the challenges in life. Things only get more difficult as I get older.

People who say that life gets better later in life are so full of shit. Life never gets better with age. That is just pure coping. Your mind and body start to deteriorate, while responsibilities and debt start to pile on.

But it is not too late. I think the average age of people on here is late 20s to early 30s. This is a good time to ctb as well. You already have a good sense of what your future will look like. You are mature enough to make rational decisions. No wonder so many musicians and celebrities kill themselves around this age.

Oh definitely because when I was 15 I had a lot of morphine and Oxy that would have been super useful to overdose. Plus I feel that I lived way too long
