• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I am continually rereading the Sanskrit epics Mahabharata and Ramayana, and in addition always have an Italian novel on the go, currently Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan Quartet.
You understand the Hindu epics? I can't grasp them. Too many long names for one

The metamorphosis was depressing and the visual of a big wriggly bug on a bed was nauseating.

I pretty much only read crime/detective/mystery/cozy mystery. I'm currently reading one book, with about another 100 Hardy Boys books to get through. And I just got more Nancy Drew as well. Also about 100. I read the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew in between books.

Can adults still enjoy the hardy boys?

I wouldn't go so far as to claim to understand them, but I've been reading them in Sanskrit for more than twenty years, so they mean something to me, anyway. You've read them a bit, it seems?

I want to read more. School killed my enjoyment of reading for a while but I'd like to get back into it. I think it'd be a better use of my time than wasting time on Twitter and the like.

I'm not sure yet what I like to read, but I am interested in sci fi and horror.

I used to read a lot (both as a child and as an adult) before depression eventually killed my interest in it.
Its a pity really.

I had to force myself to read at 20 out of a lack of things to do and then I eventually learned to enjoy it.

Try Isaac Asimov, Phillip k dick, Ray Bradbury for sci Fi. Stephen king and HP Lovecraft for horror.

I actually did purchase some books from the authors you mentioned. I plan on reading them very soon.

I usually read before bed as a wind-down. Even if it's a few pages. The key is to find a book about something you enjoy. For me, it's the mystery genre. There are so many books out there these days in so many different genres.

I mean I would like to?
But if I read something that is longer than a few sentences, my concentration starts failing rapidly.
