Autoimmune shit - asthma and GERD. I have to hold onto an emergency inhaler and will need to take potent ant-acids for life. (And yes, even when I avoid my favorite Micky D's, lol). My dad's whole family is this way. Makes the accompanying anxiety problems we also share less of a mystery. Part of me hopes I live long enough to see scientists iron out out the autoimmune-mental illness connection.

Yes, I have been a walking medical mystery for years now. I feel constantly spaced out, weak, lightheaded, extremely fatigued and dissociated 24/7. I have major cognitive issues regarding memory and concentration. I have a rapid heart rate all the time. I have had every medical test out there and nothing has turned up. I can barely do anything, even going to the store or taking a shower is a huge undertaking. I can't live with this much longer.

Easily managed with synthetic thyroxine. Any reason why not

I take Levothyroxine 50 mcg each morning. It is pretty well managed, thank you.

The body is just a prison that deteriorates as we age. So sad.
This.

We're just this dear consciousness trapped in a shell of faulty biology. My dream would be to liberate the consciousness and keep on existing after the death of the body, free.

Severe hypotension. My blood pressure says I'm nearly dead. It causes no physical symptoms, so I barely have the right to post here.

Hoping it will help me ctb faster since my method causes rapid hypotension. Score?

I also have hair loss, whatever causes that. No discernible reason.

My lungs hold less than half the capacity of air than a normal adult's lungs should, and doctors can't seem to be able to tell why. I also have a patellar maltracking disorder, meaning my kneecaps can dislocate whenever they want to (usually when I'm walking)

Early stage emphysema due to smoking and not paying enough attention to industrial pollution from working with wood and in the building industry. I don't need any medication for it just yet but feel the lack of capacity in there and get short of breath, especially when stressed. Chest and back ache from over extension of the thoracic cage and having generally fucked breathing apparatus.

This is similar to what I have, though I'm pretty sure mine is related to my heroin overdose. Have you heard of chronic fatigue syndrome?

Sorry to hear of your OD, hope you're faring better than me. I get so frustrated with feeling this way. It puts a limit on what I can do and I'm sick of having to ration my energy and feeling like I'm living in a dream. Chronic fatigue is definitely a possibility from what I understand, but finding a doctor who gives a diagnosis like that without seeing anything significant on a test is difficult.

I know you said you've had every test out there, but have they done a tilt table / poor man's tilt table? Your symptoms sound a lot like my friends with POTS (don't ask me to spell it out lol, it's a heart thing)

That's funny you say that, I had the tilt table test this summer and was positive for low blood pressure, and passed out as I was supposed to. But the doc wouldn't mention pots or that all my symptoms could come from that. I felt like they could and told her this is ruining my life, but she said no. I don't know what to believe.

Definitely sounds like POTS then. Are you chronically dehydrated? A lot of people with POTS are and require some sort of central line to get IV fluids daily or even every other day. That can help immensely with symptoms. There's a lot of meds that can help too. Do a little google walking and see...

Physically, I may have some mild version of Marfan Syndrome (tall and skinny, long slender arms, etc). I find myself quite a weak person with low confidence. Nobody say go to gym please. I've heard that enough my whole life, apart from people saying other mean and hurtful things.

Asthma, Fibromyalgia, Allodynia (which is a symptom of the fibro but it's so bad that it could be an illness all on its own). IBS and I may or may not have a problem with my heart, it's being investigated

I'm sorry someone is being so inconsiderate when you've literally just expressed how much it hurts you. I hope you're ok -hugs-

@ the dude who said it, idk if you thought you were making a light hearted joke or purposely trying to be an ass but when someone says don't say something because it hurts them, ya don't say it

I would say recently, I have some knee problems where if I squat or bend down, my knee cap hurts like hell when I try to stand back up. It never really happened until sometime this past summer. This physical illness fucks me up when I try to do anything labor intensive or if I need to bend. I have to use my other leg to partially bend which is not good and eventually my other knee will give out.

Yeah, juvenile arthritis in my sacrum and right hip. I've had this since I was 7 years old, but it only got diagnosed when I was 15. My stomach has also gone to shit because of the medicine I have to take to function normally. My life has been doomed from the start.

Chronic migraines, mild scoliosis – I have a few other possible diagnosis's but I began to neglect my health for a few years and am finally going back to my doctors.

Chronic physical pain on top of chronic emotional pain is very, very torturous.
