Not about suicide, but moreso about moving on and accepting the reality of the world.

About accepting that a person who shined so brightly, not even gold could compare, has exited the realm of the living. A person who has impacted you so much that they're irreplaceable.

I think this is my favourite song of all time. Warning, the lyrics are mostly Japanese, with some French and English sprinkled in. I sing and cry to it all the time, thinking about the people I lost throughout my life.

Fond Farewell is one of my favorite songs of all time. I view it more of as a song saying goodbye to his old self although definitely could also be about suicide.

You are probably right. I'm not good at working out the real meaning of lyrics. I mentioned this to my brother when I was younger, and he said look at 'nothingman' by Pearl Jam, it's easy to decipher. I read the line 'one day she stiffened, took the other side' and decided it was about his partner dying!
