I do. I think it's a terrible way to die, even if you're suicidal. I don't want to die like this, so sometimes I get really desperate and start thinking about CTB before COVID gets me. I'm young, but overweight, so I fear it can kill me... I believe everyone should have a death as comfortable as possible, it should be a right... it's so sad to live in this world; we are meaningless to the universe... if there was a God, we wouldn't go through so many horrible things and many young people wouldn't lose their lives to a virus. I hope there's something better waiting for all of us in afterlife. At the same time, if there's nothing, it's okay too... all suffering is gone once we die, then. But it seems so unfair... existence, and then, non existence. What are we suffering for?

To your question: to be honest if I died of covid at least I would die. Which I would appreciate.

And I did not understand the meaning of suffering either.

Is it really that terrible? I know it wildly varies in how badly it affects people, but it seems less nasty than most of the common suicide methods. I caught it last april and felt no particular way about it even though I got really sick for two weeks.

I don't fear death from COVID-19 per se (honestly I would welcome it), but I'm afraid that my loved ones would catch it and die, as they do have preexisting health complications. I don't think many young people are dying from this virus, unless they're working with patients or have extremely poor health, but still any amount of death caused from this virus is too many. COVID is definitely not the work of a deity: there are no forces of benevolence or malevolence involved in its design, for the cosmos cares nothing about us.

It's different to each person, most people don't get too sick, but there's always a chance. I'm afraid I won't be lucky... people are dying gasping for air.

Personally, I'd rather go on my own terms but I am not going down that route for now. So actually it would benefit me in terms of I get what I want and those left behind will not have to deal with my suicide.

A small number of young, healthy people are dying as well, but it's just like you said "any amount of death caused from this virus is too many." You can't be sure you're not going to die until infected

Problem with COVID is that 20% of those who are infected will be hospitalized b/c of severe symptoms. Obviously a majority of that 20% would constitute of the elderly population, but there are trace amounts of younger people in there as well. In the initial stages of this pandemic, when we were vastly unprepared and protocols were a bit iffy, I would assume that the aforementioned factors contributed to needless casualties of the younger population.

If I get sick with it, I'm probably killing myself when I get to the point that I need hospitalization. My main fear is the hospitalization and intubation rather than the death itself, it will only prolong the inevitable in a completely inhumane way.

My health is absolutely terrible, I'm sure that I'm getting the really nasty kind of covid and that's something that I'm not looking forward to.

When it kills, it's slowly, while you fight to breathe... not nice...

No, I don't fear death by Covid, or death by any other fatal disease for that matter. I would welcome it actually because then I wouldn't have to take matters into my own hands. My family would mourn me, but at least they wouldn't be left devastated by my suicide. What I fear even more than death is living the rest of my life in certain misery.

Not really. I might be higher risk because I'm overweight and have diabetes but I also have O type blood which apparently greatly reduces the severity so I'm guessing those factors would cancel each other out.

I would ironically probably want to die while having it if I got it from how painful it sounds but I always say that when I get really sick.

It kills in different ways I guess, but the road to get there is not pretty.

I've had my streaks of allergic reactions, asthma attacks, anything related to not being able to breathe or breathe properly is a big no no in my mind.

Still, you're right. It's a painful way to leave.

I have chronic lung problems. Even though I'm young, covid can be fatal to me but I'm afraid of infecting it to other people.

Although I am quite vulnerable, everything that enters the place where I live goes through many measures to the point for a hermit as me the contagion risk is lower. I have no greater reason to worry about myself, but about my relatives regarding COVID

Yes, after it's over, there will be no worries anymore... it's comforting to know that no suffering lasts forever.

I'd rather not suffer. The hospitals here are overrun and I rather go quickly and on my own terms. I'd also feel like a burden on the system and the doctors if I got sick enough with COVID
