We are nothing more than a product of nature, and are subject to the same laws that govern every living thing. It's only mans arrogance that deludes him into believing that he is a special creation and above all else.
And man created God in his own image.

I consider myself an agnostic Christian. I think most people nowadays are deep down agnostic, but practice a specific religion that appeals to them for many different reasons. I like to think different religions are just different cultures, and different ways of making sense of our experience in this universe. I firmly believe that most smart religious leaders are deep down agnostic as well, but serve their jobs for their own reasons, so some are good and some are bad. So back to your question...
Christianity in particular appeals to me a lot, despite me growing up as an atheist. This is a religion where god came down to earth and suffered for his people. Sure Christianity had it's episodes of dark history, but the mainstream Christianity as it stands today is really amazing, and full of compassionate, charitable, inclusive, and empathetic people. Unfortunately, i have never really been committed to a church, just like i have never been committed to life or death... If extreme atheists are so keen on wiping out religion, then they better come up with a better way for communities (young, old, rich and poor) to come together like some religions do. I believe in mainstream Christianity, but not so sure about god.
Jesus is a fabrication by the Christian religion. There is absolutely not the slightest hint by any chronicle other than the bible that he ever existed.
Extensive research has shown that the theological teachings of the New Testament which are attributed to Jesus are in almost all cases non original, but contain elements of other, previous religions.
The only genuine original thought in Christian theology is the idea of Jesus where he claims that one sinner who repents is more worth than 99 people who lived correctly and just.
This ( fairly perverted ) idea is one of the few authentic inventions of Christianity.

I believe in Jesus Christ ! And once upon a time in my life I received Him as my Saviour and if it wasn't for Him I probably would have died and gone to hell before I graduated high school. Thank you Jesus !!!
I used to believe in God and I used to be a Catholic. In reality, I just believed what I was raised with. Now that I'm almost 30, I realize how silly it is to believe in that kind of thing. At the end of the day though, we'll never know until we ctb lol. :p
Raised a Catholic and have been one most my life. I seriously doubt now. I still do like the message presented in the New Testament. Being compassionate, showing mercy, showing forgiveness, showing love. Too bad most Christians I know only exhibit one these traits, and not all the time.
Yes I believe in Jesus. Do I believe the bible? Meh. I just believe once we love each other, show compassion and empathy, then that's how Jesus would want us to live.
I dont believe in "oh if your gay you'll go to hell" as long as two people love, then who cares? What god would condemn love?
Sorry I'm going off track, yes I believe in jesus, I believe in an afterlife, and I believe hell is earth.
Nope, no sky daddy for me, I think it's just something some people to use to think about an afterlife. Because then there's life after this one, so they are not as afraid. I watched a recent video about Halloween and they were talking about how it's about darkness, death and demons. All I could think was, these people need more death positivity. People kinda need to realize death is a part of life, and religion is a way that people avoid it.

No, I don't believe in Jesus and that he was this supernatural human being. Like others have said, I think he may have been a real person who was quite well known at the time like a celebrity is these days but for some reason they exaggerated his abilities. One of my theories is that he was just another Sun God like the ones the ancient Egyptians used to worship as a lot of details about his life are the same as other Sun Gods. Also, another one of my theories is that the bible and Jesus were made up for the purpose of showing people how they should act and live their lives. As the bible was written by so many different writers through many years I don't think it is based on real events.
Unlike most here in this thread, yes, I do believe in Jesus, and that he was killed by the Jews for saying to feed the hungry. Yes. I absolutely believe in the sanctity of Jesus and that he was a sacrificial lamb for humanity, without spot or blemish. These are spiritual truths I've attained after years and years of reflection and life experience. I would never mock the sacrifice of Christ personally.
I believe when you die, Heaven is what you think it is. Peter Fenwick and others have studied NDE's all over the world and it seems to be that the Aftetlife is culturally different for people across the globe.
