No, not in the traditional sense anyway. If there is something after death or that created the universe, I'd imagine it to be quite different than religious depictions. I hope there is nothingness though.

Do you believe everyone is taken care of by this God? If everyone is taken care of why so many terrible things happen?
If there was a God, he or she must be sadistic and incompetent to run this universe. Can't he stop all the suffering, diseases, pain, children dying from famines and disabilities? I used to be a religious Muslim and i still remember decades of beginning and praying to heal me and guess what has happened? Right, nothing.

Yep. I believe in God. I believe that God, Jesus Christ will accept me into his Kingdom in heaven and forgive me even if I did a horrendous stuff of suicide.

I do believe there is a god, but he must hate me, otherwise my life wouldn't be ruined with crippling social anxiety and depression.
I had terrible social anxiety and cured myself of it. Buy a book called Thrive it will help you. You can overcome Social Anxiety I promise!

Me too. I know God is real as I've experienced it. Shame that I am in such a position that I want to end it. But I don't think I can given that my life is not necessarily mine to take

It's silly to believe there is a god that people have written about but it's silly to believe that there isn't something. The universe is infinite, time is infinite. With that, there is always going to be, with enough time, something. We're made up of atoms, somehow those atoms just appeared? It's mind bending to think about it.

I'm with the user above, it's illogical to believe in our written god. Another user above listed a lot of the known goods. The Cristian god is among the youngest of the gods, why would any sane person believe that one is superior to one of the older ones?

Everyone has a bubble around them of what they believe. What I believe isn't going to be the same as you but there will be overlap of course. My experiences lead me to think the way I do and yours for you, if that makes sense

I don't believe in a man in the sky. I also have a Buddhist background, but have come to also believe in in the divine, something that is in everything, but has no particular form. I think the best definition for god is God is love.

Do you believe everyone is taken care of by this God? If everyone is taken care of why so many terrible things happen?
It seems like there is likely a god- I base this not on religion but on near death experiences. SO why do so many bad things happen? It seems most likely due to giving free will. So why does it appear that sometimes miracles happen? Maybe they do, or maybe once in a while they pray and something gets better by chance. Then the big one- if god created everything, who created god? I have no answer for that one, that's the one that made me think there may not be a god for a long time- I still think it is possible there is not one, but it seems so unlikely based on the various near death experiences I have heard. Do animals get an afterlife? Do insects? For people who are religious, what happens to people who were born before Jesus was? There are many unanswered questions. BUt the ndes seems pretty convincing in a lot of casees- but then the big issue with ndes- some are religious and some arent't- some show a risk of hell and some don't. So it is very confusing. For people who are certain things will be one way or another- just because they are convinced it will be a certain way doesn't mean it will be. Also, the really big question- does god fart?

I believe in higher power and that when we die, we will meet up with those who are gone. But I'm conflicted on what happens if I am to ctb. Will I be stuck in some pergutory for a long while or will it be understood that my life was pure hell and I get a pass.
There's a lot of people I want to see

Yes and I've ruined my relationship because of all the bad things I've done. I know he forgives if I'm repentant, but i always know I'm just gonna fail again. So ive just given up on myself now. I'm sorry God, you tried so much to hello me, but i was always stubborn and stupid. I'm sorry

I believe that there is a divine intelligence that is responsible for life. I am not talking about a man in the sky but something formless, but very much active in our lives

We live in a physical world and use all our knowledge to understand and explain everything.
I see that many try to use science with the rules we've learned over centuries from our physical world to explain God. It would be like trying to play soccer with hands. Violates any rule. For example, if God exists, he would have the power to move faster than light, something that so far we know is not possible. Or, God could be anywhere at any time, but we know that an object cannot be in two places at the same time.
Science does not deny that God exists, but it cannot claim that he does. That is, currently for science God cannot be proved, but it is not impossible.
Currently, anyone who says that God exists will need to prove it. And the opposite too.
And if one day we can prove that God exists through science, we will have more questions, such as "who created God?"

Anyway, I think so, there can be a creator of everything. Perhaps more than one.
But I don't believe that God exists as religions teach (loving, pious, etc). It doesn't make any sense.
What's the point of a child being born with a terrible disease?
In addition, the human being over time has always thought of himself as the great protagonist of everything, including thinking that God is similar to us, both in physical form and in the way of thinking. We can be wrong and the creator of everything is totally different from us, such as being a sphere of light. We think God can be merciful, but he just doesn't care about our prayers.
What's the point of someone who created everything from an atom to galaxies just to be worshipped? This is just an idea they invented and ended up uselessly perpetuating.
There are so many other animals that are unaware of a higher being, provided only with the need to survive and without the chance of mercy.
Try to explain the existence of this perfect God to a child who is in the middle of a war, losing everything. Where is God and his endless perfection in that?
Anyone who believes in God is basing himself on rules without logic and foundation. It's just feeling (often fear of pissing God off and going to hell).

So for me, God can exist, but not in the way that religions say.
And I don't believe that God can interfere in everything that happens.

I used to (brought up in a Christain home) but not anymore. If there was one, he's a dick. Parents used God as a control mechanism and everything little thing I did that made me remotely happy was a "sin" and was going to hell. My mother used hell as a way to scare me. As a child the concept of such a place scared me, but as I grew older I can't imagine hell being worse than existing. God is a psychopath and no one will mention that. Love and fear me or rot in hell? yeah, sounds like a loving, caring god to me /s. If there was a loving god out there then WE wouldn't be wanting to CTB, WE would have worldly desires that we feel through biology and brain function and WE wouldn't suffer. However we do, because he/she it doesn't give a shit. That being said it's the very reason I don't believe. Christianity is nothing more than primitive mind control to be more obediant and Christians love showing this garbage in your face. I love using scripture to piss off those who judge me. just tell them they are doing what the book says not to. Yet, most of them feel that doesn't apply to them.
