I believe this is fate yes. Or I've been reincarnated from a person who committed suicide and history is going to hopefully repeat itself

I'm weirdly inclined to believe in fate.
At least every time I wasn't sure with a decision I waited for some kind of sign in which direction to go next and for some reason something (nothing special though - for example just a new job opportunity coming up at that exact day I was looking for one) nudged me in the "right" direction.

The other day it was about reincarnation, now it's about fate. Neither for me.

No.

Gman sums this up well,

"Some believe the fate of our worlds is, inflexible, my employers disagree."

What you may make of the Universe is what it will make of you, things are determined, things can change.

Yes. I think that after a certain point in your life, the direction that your going to go is sort of determined, while at the same time you get to choose how to react to such determined circumstances. So basically a Compatibilist type of Fate is what I generally believe in.

You can't know fate until it happens to you, so it's a pretty useless subject to reflect on.

I used to believe in free will. But life has shown me that neither of my successes and failures where actually my doings. I realized fate when I started to see that my successes had nothing to do with me in particular.

People who believe that with enough positive thinking... I want to kill them. It's like telling a quadriplegic person to cure himself by exercising/walking more often.

Perhaps free will would be a thing if we actually had control over our brains.

You could term anything that occurs as fate.

Nah no fate. You can take whatever trajectory you want in your life. Make a plan, set goals and go. You'll get there!

However, life has a way of chipping away little pieces. Problems, failure, loss, toxic people. You eventually lose the path and are slowly consumed by your own self loathing or the crushing weight of life.

I believe in Determinism but I also pretend it doesn't exist because it's easier that way.
