Its a commonly spread theory that you have an ethereal dmt-like experience during death. You you believe in this? If so, do you look forward to it?

It's one of my dreams to have such an experience.

I haven't seen any scientific information about it, so I'm not sure if I believe it or not. I've heard people who have tried DMT describe much different experiences than near death experiences I've heard about. Few of those sounded like drug trips and most sounded more sedate than the DMT experiences.

Its a commonly spread theory that you have an ethereal dmt-like experience during death. You you believe in this? If so, do you look forward to it?

the pineal gland (also known as the 3rd eye) does release several hormones including DMT. it can be released when you listen to binaural audios and other things designed for meditation. they are waves that essentially trigger the pineal gland to produce DMT. this is what causes the meditator's high, but it is never enough to cause severe psychedelic hyperspace effects like how actually taking the drug would; mostly you will feel floaty, see very faint geometric patterns when you close your eyes, and feel like your soul is about to leave your body at any given moment. also fluoride interferes with the pineal gland in a bad way, so if you use toothpaste that contains fluoride these effects will be even weaker for you (even at the time of natural death occurrence).

i believe a person has this same mild DMT high when they naturally die (which is pretty rare, a natural death means death by just the body itself deciding to shut down without any reason like a sickness.) it will not be like an actual DMT trip you get from taking the drug, the pineal gland in the brain is completely incapable of producing that amount by itself. but like how it feels when you meditate to DMT brainwave frequencies. just way too relaxed and euphoric as you are dying. this also explains the burst of energy seniors get on their death bed (witnessed by tons of family members globally and spoken about before). this high will sometimes fool them into thinking its a sign theyre perfectly fine and good to go, but in reality its just the brain releasing DMT, as the body is designed to make dying naturally a very painless and relaxing process.

so yes, DMT during death is very real, however the effects are not as severe as people make it seem, you will not see any entities or colorful hallucinations, only a good high that you dont really get often

I don't think all people resuscitated report having NDR's which is fascinating really. Why do some people have them and, some not? Maybe they're like dreams where we don't necessarily remember them.

That's an interesting question though- about whether we are looking forward to it. I think I'm just so afraid of having a bad 'trip'. My dreams usually aren't nice- presumably because I'm so anxious in life. I worry death will be the same. I'm bound to be feeling anxious and afraid- whether it be a natural death or suicide. What effect will that have on what I might conjure up?

I guess it's like anything afterlife related- if there is the possibility of bad as well as good, my hope is that there will instead be nothing. I suppose that's my mantra with everything now- tying in to antinatilism too. If there is the risk of extremely bad consequences- just don't take that risk or, subject someone else to it.

Of course, we won't get the choice now but yeah, a peaceful drifting into unconsciousness sounds nicer than something full of anxiety. I think even something good might feel disorienting.

Plus, it weirdly seems pointless in a way. Presumably, we won't be fully conscious? I imagine the experience to be more dream like. So, even if it's good, it would be this dreamy sensation for however long but then, nothing? (Depending on your beliefs.) If we don't awaken to remember what we experienced, will it even matter? I suppose in as much as it could make our passing more or less pleasant I suppose.

My worry is that even if hell isn't real, we may dream that we go there. In which case, I will then make it my business to track down and haunt the sick bastard who came up with it.
