I've heard thousands if not hundreds of thousands of reports of people taking mushrooms, DMT, LSD and coming out of their trip with the fear of death completely gone. Hardcore aesthetics and scientists who are very nihilistic about life and the afterlife went into that experience and came out feeling at peace and that death is nothing to be afraid of. Some even reported the experience of "waking up" from this human form, much like you realize that you are in a dream when you are sleeping and you wake up. Has anyone tried to trip on these things here? I want to hear about your experience and how it changed your view of the death.

I almost overdosed on LSD in college. I have eaten all kinds of mushrooms and have done a 6-session ketamine treatment. None of which effected either my SI or suicidalty either way.

considering theres a possibility of a bad trip, which would only make you feel worse (worst panic attack ever basically) probably not. but i did say a possibility, it depends on the person everyone reacts to things differently.

LSD made me unafraid of death... I've thought about using it in the past to overcome my SI... just kinda screwed right now

I think it depends on the person.

Ketamine definitely had a profound effect on my thoughts and feelings about life and death/suicide.

At a certain point during each infusion, I felt like I was dying, but not in a bad way. It was like looking into a bright light with my eyes closed and moving towards it. It sounds cheesy, but words can't describe how it felt.

Basically, it made me more suicidal and led to reduced survival instinct (especially during and after the infusion period) because even many months later I still long for that light and the feeling it gave me. I am still convinced that there is no afterlife, if that matters. I know that what I experienced was just a hallucination, but it was reason enough to make me long for death even more.
