You could say you were in a fight, and someone was choking you. Perhaps that would be believable. Please get medical treatment if you think you need it. Sorry things didn't work out for you.

I don't get it with partial . There are so many videos and pictures of people who did commit suicide by doing partial the position of some of them does even look so unsafe yet they still managed it all: to become unconscious, to stay in a position where their carotids are being constricted and they die.
Partial is much more peaceful then full because it is easy to go down knowing you can all the time just stand up while with full you know once the chair is gone you're gone so that makes it very difficult for people who wanna do full hanging to even be able to go into action.

Sorry you had this experience. I have tried partial a few times and never experienced pain during or afterwards. Hope the pain goes away, or you can get help for it. đź«‚

I did not have any pain while attempting partial. I got dizzy and lost consciousness, and afterwards I had a mark on my neck, but never any pain.

Many have been successful with partial. I even personally knew someone who successfully pulled it off. Sorry your attempt didn't work out for you. Was your failure just a case of backing out, or were the mechanics of it the problem?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. But if you lost consciousness... How are you still alive? Isn't that the main thing? Losing consciousness and the rope does the rest?

I backed out last second whilst partially hanging. I hung for 20 seconds

The issue with partial is that you are still touching the ground, which means the body can straighten up and save itself. This happened to me. I lost consciousness and, after some time (no idea how long), I snapped back awake (like when you jump awake out of a dream) and I found myself sitting up straight instead of leaned forward. This caused the tension on the rope to go away and blood returned to my head.

Now let's imagine someone does partial and he's gone for more than 5 min than he wakes up wouldn't that person now be paralyzed? This is what terrifies me the most about partial waking up but too late so I already damaged the brain a lot….

If you are paralyzed, how are you going to stand up and save yourself?

someone may find you and save you, especially if youre stupid like me and try in the woods xd
Well then, this is not a problem with the method, but rather its performer.

Edit to add: Each method has a particular time frame and may need different lengths of being left alone or different physical space. Part of the process of picking a good method is to make sure that all of these align with what works for you. Unfortunately, this makes picking the correct method very difficult for some people.
