For the people who've already attempted before, does it get easier? Why do you think so?

No
in some situations it can actually get harder because you have personal knowledge of the pain.

Things often get easier after overcoming the psychological barriers of doing something for the first time. Unfortunately, it looks like this doesn't apply to CTB. Any methods that artificially reduce SI without affecting chances of success too much?

In my experience it does not. I only attempted once and failed. The memories of the recovery are not pleasant, but I fear failure again. I've not tried since, but I want to. It's an act of bravery to attempt every time.

I had a major attempt when I was in high school, and I hanged myself to the point I lost consciousness.

I'd be dead now if the anchor had not failed me.

I have also tested, and I have finally found how to find the sweet spot, so I lose consciousness.

In some ways, it's easier because you know what you are doing and have a really good sense of how lethal it is. But that makes it more difficult too because you know - if you tie off that anchor - you will be dead a few minutes later

The certainty of it makes it more difficult.

But I test every so often - and think sometime soon - it won't be a test

ig I learned what not to do from failed attempts but not what actually to do instead, if that makes any sense. Like crossing off options from a list

For me yes. My last attempt was partial hanging with a necktie. We were at it for over 2 hours because we kept recovering and trying again and adjusting to different lengths and positions. We developed a dispersion in our left carotid artery.

It makes you more familiar with the method and on how to do it without failing (mine is train so I now know the perfect spot and schedules) but as some other users have mentioned, the certainty of it is terrifying in a way...
I personally feel that each attempt desensitizes me a bit more but SI never completely disappears.

I don't know why but after my first attempt I have much more si to fight off. Maybe the fear of failure? Am really not able to understand it.

For me yes. I haven't felt much pain in my attempts.
You just have to do it one time so be patient and prepared.
Go with the most peaceful method available to you and do it flawlessly.
My favorite method is CO and I've survived it because I was fully awake

It really isn't as simple as that…….we probably all thought that. It's THE hardest thing!!
It certainly can be for some.
This is my view, I have what I need to achieve to ctb successfully and I'm confident I'll do so.
