I thought it was easy, however I did feel dissapointed when it didn't workOr during? Or was it relatively easy to just lie back and await fate?
What meds were they? Glad no long term damage.Mine was incredibly easy. Couldn't be arsed popping each pill out of the blister pack and swallowing individually. Slammed them all out of the pack, whacked them in a glass and drank them all. Managed to fill one of the ikea glasses. Snuggled up with my two cats in bed and went to sleep. Woke up 5 days later in ICU hallucinating out of my mind. Thankfully, I caused no long term damage. Although I was pretty pissed off at my psychiatrist who warned me my meds were fatal in an overdose. Clearly not!
Thanks, me too. It was clomipramine mainly, it's a tricyclic AD which isn't commonly prescribed these days as SSRIs are deemed safer. What meds were they? Glad no long term damage.

I would be very careful about trying to OD with any prescription drugs. I was very unwell at the time, I rushed in to it without any research and just assumed it would work due what my Psych had said. I think that if any prescription AD (or drug in general) was a safe bet then it'd be plastered all over these forums like SN is.Ahhh, I have possession of tegretol which is apparently related to tricyclic AD chemical structure. I only have access to that and seroquel...
What did you take??What I am about to say may be upsetting.
Before I took the two bottles of pills, it took enormous mental preparation. I was nervous, but I convinced myself that no physical pain will be worse than the emotional state I was in. I was wrong. I took the pills, and felt a slight sense of regret for a split second before throwing the empty bottles away and going to my room. I can't remember how much time passed, but the first symptom I felt was comparable to being intoxicated. I couldn't balance, I felt my whole body was heavy, my speech was incoherent, and I was extremely nauseous. I threw up a couple times, that was my body rejecting the pills. But no pills really came out of the vomit, that or it dissolved into my stomach acid which seems likely. At one point I felt extremely dehydrated, like my tongue was so dry it would just fall off, so I carefully walked downstairs to get water. My parents were sitting on the couch watching a movie. I tried to hurry and get my water, almost threw up again, then swallowed my own vomit since I was determined to die that night. I went upstairs, drank water, and felt a horrible headache, as bad as a migraine. Thats when I decided to try and go to sleep and hopefully, not wake up. After some time, I woke up from me vomitting on my bed. At this point it just felt like being wasted but with no numbingness. I got up to go throw up in the toilet, then I dropped. It felt like I was having a seizure, though it was just my body convulsing. My head was jerking so violently that it continously slammed into everything possible, covering my head in bloody bruises. I couldn't control my body. I swear, I was screaming for help, the pain was so terrible that I wanted to get it overwith ASAP and feared that if I didn't get help, the pain would only last longer rather than waiting to die. My body felt like it was being stabbed, repeatedly and all I could do was helplessly watch. I swore I saw my girlfriend. Then suddenly I was out. Presumably, this was when I was dying. I felt nothing, it was darkness. Like before birth. Then I woke up in a hospital bed 2 days later, being pumped full of fluid. Turns out that my parents heard me convulsing, called 911, and took me to the ER. My digestive system shut down but eventually recovered. I stopped breathing right as I entered the hospital, so they barely saved my life. If a few minutes late, I wouldn't be here. My liver slightly recovered, but is severely damaged and effects me to this day. Even when I was recovering in the hospital, I still was having overdose symptoms. I wasn't able to stay conscious for more than 30 seconds at a time. My vision was severely warped, so I couldn't see. It took me a few weeks to be able to walk again because my loss of balance was still effecting me. I was covered in cuts, bruises, bumps and marks. I bit my tongue extremely hard during the overdose and that made it hard to eat. Also, regarding my digestive system shutting down, it took some time to be able to eat.
I don't want to sound dramatic. But it was the worst physical pain I ever felt, I don't know how to describe how horrible it was. I'm also not faking this story, either. If you don't plan things out 100%, it can be the worst experience of your life. I plan to OD in the future, but change a few plans up in order to make myself unconscious quicker due to the fact my conciousness is what made it so painful.
I am so sorry to hear you are struggling. Your decision is yours to choose, I just wish you a peaceful way out. Much love ♡
What did you take??
Was ist painful? Why and who did you bring to hospital? As I cannot kill myself I would like to sleep like 3days and feel nothingI tried od on cough syrup + alpraz . slept for 3 days straight ..woke up in the hospital.
The amitryptyline cocktail is my preferred method and i have the stuff for it. I think as far as prescription drug ods go, this could be one of the best. But there are not many accounts from people who have took it on here. May i ask what doses etc you took and a little more detail about ypur experience? Ie how you felt after taking them (ive heard they are bitter tasting) how long it took too fall asleep and why it wasnt succesful? ThanksNo I just took all my stuff and just went to bed. Then I was found and woke up in hospital 4 days later. I would overdose again. As it wasn't a bad experience. I wasn't even sick in my bed. I might of been in hospital but I can't remember. I had horrible hallucinations for a while. Whilst in hospital. I was having a nice dream at first at home. Then the hallucinations just happened in hospital. I took a Promethazine and Amitriptyline overdose with a couple of double Brandies.
Yep, on my overdose of venlafaxine all I got was a severe case of serotonin syndrome which is devastating and traumatic to experience. Exact recovery as you. Couldn't eat, my vision was messed up for days, my body just wouldn't cooperate. Needed help walking for a while. It just shuts your body down. The recovery from it is horrible xIts hard to remember the exact dosage. I was taking 40mg Prozac and 10mg Lamictal, and I took one whole bottle for each of them. Prozac doesnt kill you, its difficult to OD on antidepressants. Lamictal is what made it nearly fatal, meanwhile Prozac gave me severe Serotonin Syndrome. Serotonin Syndrome CAN be fatal if severe, though. And I fit all the symptoms of it during the OD. I also had slight trace of Ibuprofen, only remember that because doctors wouldn't shut up about it because I refused to say I took it. I probably took one ibuprofen for the headache but honestly, who knows lol
Funny about the ibuprofen because they said the same to me. And I swear I hadn't taken any and cocodamol they asked me about too xIts hard to remember the exact dosage. I used Phenergan (Promethazine) as my anti emetic. I took 2 pills a couple of hours before taking my overdose. Then I took 6 pills 20 mins before my overdose. I then put roughly 600mg of Amitriptyline in a glass poured water on it and stirred it up then drank it. It was very bitter but not impossible to drink. I then took the rest of the pack of Phenergan to make up for the lack of Amitriptyline also I took a few codeine tablets too. I then washed it all down with a couple of double brandies. I don't drink alcohol so this was very strong for me. Also I have never took Amitriptyline or Phenergan. So the effects may have been stronger for me than someone who is use to the stuff I took. I went to bed and literally fell straight asleep. It didn't work because I was found about 12 hours later. I had expected not to be found till at least 20 hours later. Also I didn't have enough Amitriptyline to follow the PPH guide fully. I was found snoring really loudly my lips were blue and I was slavering. I had a nice dream at first. Then I had horrible hallucinations while recovering in hospital. I was throwing cups of water at the staff etc. but all in all the experience wasn't that bad. I suggest if you haven't reading the Amitriptyline method in the PPH.The amitryptyline cocktail is my preferred method and i have the stuff for it. Yeah ive studied pph and a couple of otherr bits. I believe its about 8gms of amitryptyline needed to be fatal ive got that much, got anti enemics lots of benzos too. Maybe the promethazine caused the hallucinations etc because it used to be used as an anti psychotic i believe ?I used Phenergan (Promethazine) as my anti emetic. I wish I had all those pills you have. Due to overdosing and being found I have next to no pills to OD on. Promethazine is used to calm people down who are agitated. Not sure about it being used as an anti psychotic in the past.Man
