Same here. I wanted him to win really bad even though he progressively got worse with time

The Anime is one of the all time greats. It's Aged well.Interesting to see people watch it even today.

Misa because of the way people use her. She is ignorant and a follower, just like I have been. My blind trust of people will be the death of me.

If the Death Note was real, though, we'd all be writing our own names on the first page, wouldn't we? I fantasized about that when I first saw the anime.

As cringey as it is probably Light although I never liked the way he treated Misa/Takeda or sees his family. I can heavily relate to his need to be recognized, his ego, and his utilitarian tendencies. I view myself as utilitarian and overall see his thinking as pretty rational. I definitely was rooting for him. I fantasize about what I would do with a death note sometimes, mostly on how I could use it to enrich myself without getting caught. I would also of course like Light try to make the world a better place using it. However despite my need for recognition I think it would be in my best interest to do so anonymously unfortunately. I actually have a death note replica that I may write my own name in if I ever CTB my friends said that was corny though, but I don't really care too much I think it's cool. I also unfortunately am not an exceptional person like he is.
