I have heard that a decent amount of them will make you sick. Some kind of prank someone did and the recipient got really sick but didn't die. Can't recall where I saw this.

Actually yes strangely. One notable case was a women from Wisconsin using them to kill her husband. Visine was what she used. Don't know what the fuck it is though.

Which is the best brand to order?
There are multitudes of variations of Visine.

Visine is the only one that I have heard of. There's a list of what it is in and side effects on articles. It does not in fact cause explosive diarrhea. I don't know where the fuck that myth came from.

I am reading a forbes article about some murders with this. They say

Tetrahydrozoline can be absorbed through your gastrointestinal tract into your main blood circulation much more readily and then travel to your heart and central nervous system. There it can get the drop on you and slow your heart rate and lower your blood pressure to dangerous levels. It can also lead to a drop in body temperature, a coma, and, of course, death.

One of the murders they are writing about said it took 3 days. I wonder what the pain was like.

Tetrahydrozoline is the substance.

Overdose most often causes slow heart rate. Respiratory depression, low blood pressure, constricted pupils, hypothermia, brief episodes of high blood pressure,[6] drowsiness, headaches and vomiting may also occur.[7] In serious cases some of these effects may result in circulatory shock.[4] Most often overdoses occur in children who have ingested the drug.[6]

There is no antidote for tetryzoline or other similar imidazoline analogue poisoning, but the symptoms can be alleviated and with treatment, death is rare.[8]

Here is the article:

Seems like ethylene glycol (antifreeze) would be more effective as a poison.

Ethylene glycol has high mammalian toxicity when ingested, roughly on par with methanol, with an oral LDLo = 786 mg/kg for humans.[25] The major danger is due to its sweet taste, which can attract children and animals. Upon ingestion, ethylene glycol is oxidized to glycolic acid, which is, in turn, oxidized to oxalic acid, which is toxic. It and its toxic byproducts first affect the central nervous system, then the heart, and finally the kidneys. Ingestion of sufficient amounts is fatal if untreated.[26] Several deaths are recorded annually in the U.S. alone.[27]

This summer I drank a shitload of the stuff. Can't remember how much. It did nothing, so you obviously need a lot of it. I remember hearing about that case, which gave me the idea…

There's "Visine Dry Eye Relief Lubricant Eye Drops with Polyethylene Glycol 400 to Moisturize and Soothe Irritated, Gritty and Dry Eyes, Designed to Work like Real Tears, 0.5 fl. oz", & "Visine Red Eye Comfort Redness Relief Eye Drops to Help Relieve Red Eyes Due to Minor Eye Irritations Fast, Tetrahydrozoline HCl, 0.5 fl. oz", & "Visine Allergy Eye Relief Multi-Action Antihistamine & Redness Relief Eye Drops, 0.5 fl. oz (Pack of 2)"& "Visine Red Eye Total Comfort Multi-Symptom Eye Drops, All-in-One Astringent, Lubricant and Redness Reliever Eye Drops for Irritated, Dry, Burning, Watery, Itchy, Red, Gritty Eyes, 0.5 fl. oz"

And tons more. Which one has the highest concentration of lethal ingredient?

What if you took it in conjunction with a beta blocker?

The lethal ingredient is Tetrahydrozoline. From what I have searched up, the astringent/redness reliever eye drops have a 0.05% concentration of it.

Edit:the lethal dose or ld50 is 345mg/kg for mice. Probably have to convert to people though.

Oh goodness. Hypothetically how many bottles of the stuff would I have to down? (Not that that's a problem for me. I drink Apple Cider Vinegar straight so I wouldn't care about the taste).

So a 100kg person (220lbs) would need 34.5g…at 0.05%…wow. That's a lot of bottles…

For a 60kg person as a standard. I can do other weights.

One bottle contains 7.5 mg of the poison.
23.9209 minimum is lethal. Dividing means 3.18946 bottles of visine.

For the math nerds like me

(0.02kg(mice)/60kg(human))^(1/3)*345(mice dose)=23.9209

23.9209(human dose)/7.5(bottle)= 3.18946

Change the human weight as needed.

Had to break out my calculator for this one!

How many exactly? Lmao
I'd marathon chug them.
So…Walmart has 15ml bottles (for $5.77 here in Canada), x 0.05% = 0.0075g of tetrahydrozolene. I come up with 5000 bottles, give or take. 😮

Surely that can't be right…Now might be a good time to mention I was never good at math…and that would come to $28,850!! She must have really wanted her husband dead…

Haha, no. I would go broke. For a 60kg person by the FDA, a little over 3 bottles.

Wow, I actually just drink 3 bottles (15ml) if visine and was about to post a thread. It was kinda impulsive but honestly idc, if I die I die. If it doesn't work I'll try something else later

Given some of the info in this post it doesn't seem like it will be lethal. It's been around 20mins though and I don't feel any different yet.

I've drank 6 bottles once. I could feel my veins close up starting with my extremities. Very weird feeling! Passed out for about a day and a half. No sickness at all.

Thanks for sharing your experience. @Hilmpaul drank some last night pretty spontaneously and it scared me 😅As far as I know he is okay and I'm glad you were too!
