Help Cutting throat?

Would it hurt and would I suffer?

How long could it take until I successfully CTB?

And how deep do I have to cut? And where on my throat?

Would this make a permanent scar (just in case they find and rescue me -> I don't want other people to notice if it becomes a visible permanent scar until I find the opportunity and time to try again if this method is lethal enough)?

I don't want to take SN, don't want to bother others by train method, rope sounds too painful, I can't get a gun in my country, bridges and buildings aren't high enough in my city, pills and cutting wrists are not lethal enough.

Yes it would likely hurt, yes you would suffer as you bleed out in a manner that could be entirely unpredictable due to adrenaline and hydration levels . Yes it would leave a huge scar on your neck and you'd likely suffer tendon damage in your neck that could permanently limit your mobility if you survived.

Not worth a try at all. There's a bunch of risks to it. I'd doubt your brain would physically allow you to cut that deep. I'm not sure on the timing it all depends on the amount you bleed out. Going unconscious would be fast I assume. Dying on the other hand could take minutes.

Scarring is always a thing with cuts especially deep ones. Rope would be better than cutting. If the rope is nice then it wont hurt as much as cutting would.

this method isn't recommended because of how difficult it would be to actually carry out. i know this is different to cutting, but the same idea is there and it explains in here a bit why it's not really a good idea to try this way

No no no no NOOOOO I am telling u rn cutting is one of the worst ways to attempt to go behind like self immolation. You'll likely end up failing and now ur left in extreme pain and have a scar that everybody will notice.

I think if you can cut one of the major vessels then you'd pass out as you lose blood and eventually die. I am not sure which blood vessel but it might be hard to reach and then there is also the possibility of some sort of clotting that would slow the bleeding. I guess it isn't recommended for those sorts of reasons even though when I think about it out loud it doesn't seem that bad. Just hard to execute properly I suppose.

Deep, and it does matter. Since it's deep your body will probably wince from the pain and you'd stop halfway/half-ass it. If this happens or you miss, you'd painfully bleed out in panic on the floor. And no—this bleeding out wouldn't be quick. Please don't do it.

When my blood pressure's up I feel my carotid pounding in my neck and it seems close to the skin, like if I pushed with a razor blade and gave one hard rip I'd hit it. But I know rationally this is a terrible method next to hanging.

As everyone else here is saying you are better off with hanging, ligature strangulation and so on.

However if you reeeaaalllyyyy wanna go by cutting and you think you are sufficiently determined... You need to lose about 4-5 Litres of blood quickly, by hitting one of the major arteries. You can find the carotid arteries in your neck just besides your windpipe by pressing down until you feel a pulse. Then you might wanna mark that down with a pen.

Alternatively you can feel around your groin area until you find your femoral artery. This is the biggest artery in the body and if you are successful in cutting it, you will bleed out quickly.

To repeat what the others have said, this method isn't particularly nice. If you do go for it, I recommend you get a surgical scalpel. They cut very well

It won't work,a man here tried to cut his own throat and his body's involuntary nerves made it fail,your body reacts to the pain so fast it jerks your hand away from the neck so you slash it but not enough to die from,and nothing can be done to stop it from happening it's a automatic subconscious response and then mental health will try section you off,

I have a very sharp razor blade (by Feather) at home and a set of surgical scalpels (they have a best before date printed on the packaging, but that date is still in the future).

Adding to what everyone else already said.
I'd imagine you'd have to go for deep and fast cut, since the pain will most likely immediately make you stop. And on top of that you need to be precise.
All things considered it seems like a pretty difficult option.
And the surgical scalpels do seem like the best bet. I don't see a razor blade doing the trick.

Like everyone else, I don't think it is a good idea due to the only fact that it could take a long time of suffering before you pass out.

However if this is your preferred method of CTB then my advice would be to try to puncture or sever the internal carotid artery. You would need a 4 or 5 cm deep incision on either the left or right side of your neck, roughly near the side of your cheekbone.

However it is a very risky move which needs some sort of precision, although if you manage to hit it then it is 100% guaranteed rapid blood loss and a quicker death. At that point your adrenaline will be sky high too so it'll be numb.

Hanging is more reliable overall but if that isn't an option then I wish you the best and I hope you'll find peace.
