I thought I posted this a bit ago but it's not showing. Here's another try. Will receive my SN on Monday, and am finalizing to ctb within a couple of weeks. Looking for feedback, suggestions. thanks. I've seearched the site and PPeH for these questions but didn't get anything. I know none of us are doctors but just looking for feedback. Sorry for the long post.
1. Antiemetics. I very likely won't receive meto or zofran in time. Plan on using OTC meclizine, suggested by pharmacist as the closest to meto/zofran. And I plan on taking it according to the PPeH, one hour before drinking SN. Any thoughts, experience on OTC antiemetics?
2. Pantoprazole (proton pump inhibitor). Been taking 40 mg pantoprazole daily for over 10 years for acid reflux. I've searched the boards and couldn't find anything about it being an issue with SN doing the job. Didn't find anything in PPeH or Essentials, either. Though the PPeH May 2022 states that benefits of antacids or PPIs cannot be established so is no longer advised. Am I okay with continuing my PPI or should I even increase it? Any thoughts?
3. Indigestion. Last year been suffering from indigestion, blating after eating. Though think it was from emotionally eating large amounts of food at times. Many different tests done, including gastric emptying, and showed nothing. Not so much a problem now. But, sometimes, I take Gaviscon Advanced after eating. I'm thinking I should stop all Gaviscon Advanced now.
Gaviscon Advanced Definition. This product forms a protective layer that floats on top of the stomach contents. This layer prevents reflux and keeps the stomach contents away from the lining of the food pipe to relieve the symptoms of heartburn and acid indigestion.. Gaviscon Advance's extra strength formulation has twice the concentration of sodium alginate - forming a strong and resilient 'raft' in the process.
4. Propranolol. Won't be able to get this for 4 - 6 weeks so not going to be able to include that in the regime. The PPeH Essentials lists 400 mg. Even if I did get it in time, which I wont, that's 40 pills. I'm thinking the less pills in my stomach the better before drinking SN? Going to have to do it without it. Thoughts on doing it without propranolol?
5. Klonapin. I have plenty of Klonapin for anxiety.
